Al pulled the plug after spending $5M per win and $100K per completion on his #1 draft pick.

Rome has officially crown Russell as the Biggest NFL Bust Ever.  Congrats, Leaf, you're off the hook.

You can keep a wooden stake in your trunk
On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.

One of my co-workers is a HUGE Raider fan, and he is beyond thrilled with this. Al must be on his meds or something. They got Campbell, and cleaned up fairly well in the draft. Oakland should be an interesting team to watch over the next few years.

I agree.

Al might finally be listening to reason.

This sounds more like it.  I don't think he's as involved as before.

We are probably gonna find out after the season is over that this was the first episode of "Weekend at Al's." He has really been dead and they just propped him up and made the right decisions pretending it was him. The problem is that no one believes Al really made these decisions. Therefore it should be presumed that Al is dead.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

No kidding. I am starting not to feel so bad for McFadden, Campbell and Groves.

I was never that impressed with JR at LSU. He was very 1 dimensional in that he could throw the ball 3.8 miles from his knees. Ryan Leaf to me was more of a let down.
