All very good points. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this, there's a lot of words in there.
1) Good point about Bama thinking BCW was stupid. I liken it to how Auburn fans made fun of Saban being in Forbes or 92,000+ showing up to a spring game. It's funny until shit starts lining up for that team and then it's not funny anymore.
2) Auburn never landed a better recruiting class than Alabama so I don't know what you're referring to. McCain took Georgia in the Presidential Election, that doesn't make him the President of the United States. Neither does Auburn placing ahead of Alabama in only 1 of 3 recruiting sources mean they topped the Tide in recruiting.
3) We're talking about Spencer Region's commitment to Auburn over Coach Sheban??? For real???? Seriously?????? We're building a fucking statue of the guy. I'll forget you said this.
4) You said something about basketball. I googled it since I wasn't sure of what it was. It appears to be a sport other than football. I read it on wikipedia so I'm not able to promise you this information is 100% legit.
5) It brings your credibility into question when you refer to the reigning, Heisman Trophy having, undefeated National Champions as having "little sister syndrome" to a team that was 8-5 last year and 5-7 the year before that. That's 13 wins in the last 2 years. We've won more games in just the last year than you have over the last 2 years. My 2 year old son has never experienced a regular season loss in his entire lifetime. If what you say is true it appears that "little sister syndrome" makes you dominate the fuck out of your instate rival, and the rest of the country for that matter.
1) Coach Sheban is still a fuckin' joke for being on the cover of Forbes, but it was only talked about for a day, maybe two, on the Local talk radio show. I thought 92K strong for a scrimmage was impressive, eventhough there wasn't a cover charge.
2) Most bammers claim the '08 Recruiting National Championship (
Rivals #1, Scout #1 & ESPN #3), bammers stated that only Rivals and Scout really matter. Then in '09 most bammers claimed back-to-back Recruiting National Championships (
Rivals #1, Scout #2 & ESPN #2), now Rivals is the only one that really matters, also Coach Chizik and Staff will never be able to keep up or come close to Coach Sheban and Co. Then the '10 Recruiting hits like punch in the gut to the bammers (
Rivals AU #4/SPuat #5, Scout SPuat #4/AU #6 & ESPN SPuat #3/AU #4...btw, ESPN doesn't rank JUCO players), so with Auburn landing a better, more well rounded class than SPuat...according to Rivals, Rivals now don't matter to the bammers...Scout and ESPN is where it's at, they know what they're talking about. Again, this is coming after nearly all of the bammers claimed that Coach Chizik and Staff couldn't "hang" with Coach Sheban. "Tiger Prowl" and "BCW" were jokes and SPuat had just went 12-2 and were on their way to a 14-0 MNC with a Heisman to boot, while the class was filling out.
3) Might as well build a statue of bammers, alongside Coach Sheban, crying over losing out on Spencer Region and Reese Dismukes....maybe add some of their quotes about Spencer Region and his Mother at the bottom of the statue.
4) Eventhough, Josh Langford is a basketball player, it still made the media and the National airwave that Auburn landed the #1 Men's BBall prospect in the State of Alabama.
5) You wouldn't know that SPuat won the MNC or the Heisman by listening to the bammer callers talking about Auburn on the now Nationally Syndicated PF talk show....well, you wouldn't know it unless you go to Wall Marks. I had a guy comment on my Auburn Family shirt and ask me about why the Auburn coaches were breaking NCAA rules with the "RV thing"...I forgot to mention, he was wearing his 13 Nashinul Shampiunshep t-shirt that he bought at Wall Marks....I told him that the Auburn coaches didn't break any rules with it, the NCAA just made the ruling on it yesterday, making it illegal and that the Auburn coaches were already through with it anyway.
