NCaa tourney Day 1
« on: March 18, 2010, 04:29:12 PM »
Well Florida choked the big one.  Had the ball on the last possession of regulation and overtime and could not score.  Lose in 2nd overtime.

Villanova is thankfully one lucky team

I had UF and Vandy winning in the first and losing in the second round.  Screwed my first day but not too bad.

Same here.  I had Old Dominion winning thought. That helped.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

It was going to hapen this year with no real dominant teams this year.  Hell, Lehigh hung with Kansas most of the game.  I mistakenly listened to the "Expert" ESPN panel they had on breaking down every team and game.  (It included Mark Gottfried, I should have known better)  But just about every one of them had UTEP as their darkhorse team to go deep in the tourney.  I listened...

That section of my bracket is now basically a steamy pile of racoon shit.

I'm 'working from home' today.  I'm watching the Mizzou-Clemson game and I forgot how much fun it was to watch a Mike Anderson-coached team.  Those fuckers play hard.  I still can't believe we had a chance to land him back in the day and let him slip away.

How crazy was Day 1?

Per ESPN...  4.8 million people submitted brackets for their annual bracketology contest.  Out of the total brackets, only 596 remained perfect after day one.

I'd say that Ohio screwed up just about everyone's bracket....and Northern Iowa might finish off the rest of the 596.  If the UNI/Kansas game didn't finish them off, the #11 Washington/#3 New Mexico game did.

Well, I stand corrected....there is ONE guy that predicted the first two rounds in his CBS Bracket, "an Autistic teen from the Chicago area".  Want to know the odds of that happening?  "1 in 13,460,000....basically harder than winning the lottery TWICE."
