Hearing some news on a Texas recruit making a visit to AU....

You heard any of this? This is a ESPNU Top 10 (or maybe even higher

)prospect. This may be the sleeper we have been hearing about. He is currently uncommitted. This would be his last official visit. If this is true, then it's is HUGE. FWIW - This is not from Rivals, ESPN, Scout or any other mainstream site or message board.

Have also heard that Prater may now go to Tennessee with Carroll leaving USC. Word is, he had his bags packed for USC then the word came about CPC. Now he is considering not enrolling early and taking his time with a choice. If this happens for Tenn, they will have quite a recruiting haul this year.

There is one player in Tx rated higher than Lache......and also its funny someone said Jerry Jones, there does seem to be a connection there with this guy. TIFWIW

Spill it. The only other one I know of is a big time DE from there. Don't remember his name right off hand but I saw him play or interviewed somewhere. His father played at Arizona St. and in the Pro's and now he coaches at Houston. His college choices were Houston, AR St. or USC I think.

Are you saying that now USC is off the map, that we may have a shot?

I haven't seen anything on that or that his name is on our OV list.

And he is not rated higher than Seastrunk on any board I have seen...

Yeah, just looked it up and that's who I was talking about. Also in the running, with the teams mentioned above are, OK, UT and UF.

IF Auburn gets an OV out of this kid I would be impressed...but I don't think there is any chance we land him...

No, this isnt being mentioned on any boards or anything. Right now, Texas is the team to beat. Fla is out of it as of this weekend. He cancelled his OV to UF which is when the talk of his last OV being to Auburn came to light. We were actually one of his teams in the beginning of the process and even during his Junior season. IF this comes to be true, I still think he goes to Texas, but just the talk of an OV is quite the curveball.
