My source says an agreement in principle between Stoops of OU and the Domers has been reached.

OU is expected to approach Gary Patterson of TCU.

Unlike you I do have sources. I got into this deal because there is some vapor that OU may have Tuberville on their list should Stoops bolt. At this point it is mere speculation.

Hmmm. Just heard that Stoops issued a statement saying denying his move to ND. I guess he did that because he read this thread and wanted to clarify things.

My skreets are saying the same thing as Kaos. I have no idea where Kaos heard this from but getting texts in the last 15 mins about Stoops. Cant say he will be hired but there is def some commotion going on. And just ignore the whole "I have not interviewed with Notre Dame..." bullshit Stoops will say. Stoops doesnt interview. Its known.....

ESPN pre-game tonight also said Stoops to ND. At the EXACT SAME TIME they were reporting that, the crawl at the bottom of the screen said "Stoops says he is not going to ND".

Saban was also happy in Miami and would not be the Alabama head coach. Same thing with Petrino. They all say these things until things are definite. I can say that IF ND gets Stoops, that is quite a shockwave in CFB.

My source is a member of the Midwest media. I only posted here because I was told the agreement had been struck today and they would not have canned Weiss until they had it nailed down.

Difference between wild ass rumor and "deal agreed to".

I don't know that it's true even. But my source seemed confident that the numbers had lined up and everybody was smiling.

They have a better chance of landing Stoops than Meyer or Lil Nicky. Meyer just has to sit back and collect signatures, the way Tubs would like to have it somewhere in sunny FL if certain schools can't come to terms with their present coaches. I think it's Wannstedt or Patterson. But I also think they need to make a big splash only the timing sucks.
