Seems as though XOS Digital (the company that makes the content for secdigitalnetwork.com) has found out about that video and have had it yanked from YouTube. In any event though, I think we all know it was sort of a cheap shot, but I don't think it was an illegal hit. It was a running play, and the play hadn't been whistled dead yet. Now, if Nick Williams hit him after the whistle, then by all means. But it was a run play and Tebow was still moving after handing the pass off. How is it any different than a WR blocking a DB on a run and knocking him down 15 yards downfield?
Sort of a cheap shot.....Are you fuckin' serious???? Tebow handed off to the runningback, Dive Run. Nick Williams actually looks at the RB, then he looks back at Tebow. Tebow doesn't know that Williams is standing there, and Williams sees that Tebow doesn't know that he's there. Tebow takes one step towards Williams, and Williams, not only lays him out, but he hit him high with his helmet and forarms. It wasn't like Tebow was running at him, faking that he had the ball, he was just standing there, because it was a dive play. So, yeah, it was an illegal hit on a defenseless player....if they're going to call hitting a receiver after the ball goes over his head, as a 15 yard illegal hit...then the hit on Tebow would've definitely been the same. I guess when Etoro knocks out Mc El Roy, after he's handed off to Ingram and Ingram is making a big run or whatever, and a flag isn't called, then we should all expect you to come on here and say that it wasn't an illegal hit....Oh wait, what am I saying, there will be a flag, flags will probably fly from every ref on the field, plus from the replay officials. They'll probably just go ahead and reward SPuat with 7 points and make Auburn kickoff again.
