Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

Yes, Fuck the Yankees.  And, Fuck the Phillies.  They are in the Braves division and have been dominating them 3 years straight now.

However, I hate the Yankees and American League more, and also thoroughly enjoyed last Thursday's episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, so....

I'll take the Phillies in 7.

Any other projections?

I think this is going to be a decent series. You've got Cliff Lee vs. CC Sabathia tonight, Pedro Martinez vs. AJ Burnett tomorrow night, and Cole Hamels vs. Andy Pettite Saturday night.  The Phils will need some luck to win, as the Yankees lineup is simply studded with talent and big bats.  The Yankees also have a more dominant pitching staff, IMO.  At any rate...it should be entertaining!

Wow, Greasey is right for once.

Damn Yankees.  Although I bet most teams could win the World Series if they could spend over a billion dollars in the last five years.

Okay, I'm not happy.  The Braves traded Javier Vasquez to the damn Yankees.  While he may not seem like a household name, most people who really follow MLB know this guy is one of the top pitchers in the game.  Has been for a while. He was 15-10 .287 ERA for a mediocre Braves team.  Finished 4th in the Cy Young this year.

The Braves got a solid everyday player in Melky Cabrera, a career .270 hitter but in my opinion, if the Bravos wanted to contend (And they're really close to doing that) they needed to get off the wallet, sign Vasquez and go find a big stick in the outfield or first base.  So far, they've given up one of the most consistent pitchers in the game, signed a .270 hitter along with a couple of 40 year old bullpen guys.

Hello and welcome to my world.

This was just a money saving move.  It just sux and makes no sense.  Look, if you sign the players, you win games.  You win games, you put fannies in the stands.  You put fannies in the stands...you sell more gear...you get more TV exposure (Money)..ie, you get a huge return on your investment.

The Braves have retooled to an extent and truly are very close to being a serious player again in the National League.  This was just a dumbass move on their part.

This was just a dumbass move on their part.

"move"...now should read "moves"...

looks like they are signing glaus as a big bat...ha ha.  he hasn't had a 40 + homer season since he 2001 (juiced)...100 + rbi's since 2002 and a career 250-ish hitter.  plus he is injury prone and missed most of the 2009 season.

glad i got the mariners up north...hmmm nevermind...the dodgers down south.
