If you don't have kids, or don't like 80s music, skip this post!!!!
We took the kiddos to see Imagination Movers on Sunday afternoon. The Movers, for those of you who do not know, do kid songs based on music from the 80s and 90s, so adults do not want to stick pencils in their ears when listening to the CDs for the 11th straight hour. They are heavily influenced by Beastie Boys, Big Country, Dash Rip Rock (their tour drummer played in DRR), and other similar artists. The guys are all married with kids, are in their late 30s and are HOT. I am totally a Mover Mom. They are from New Orleans and now have a show on Playhouse Disney that is excellent, and not just for little kids. The music really is incredible.
But I digress...
Anywho, at one point Sunday, they broke into a little KISS music, slightly revised for the kindergarten set...
I wanna rock and roll all day! And sleep good every night!!
They also closed their show with Journey's Don't Stop Believing.
It was awesome.
Here's a sample - my favorite part is at :55.
This one is OBVIOUSLY was influenced by Big Country:
