So I bought it.  Meh. 

Having problems already. 

First put it in and get an error message about downloaded content being messed up.  Except I haven't downloaded any. 

Tells me I have to re-download.  So I go do the downloads. 

Same error. 

I got the 85 songs that come with it, 80 of which I've never fucking heard of and 40 of which suck panda ass. But I don't have any of the stuff I downloaded or any of the ones from GH-WT, GH-Metallica or GH-Smash Hits they said would convert over. 

Call the "help line" get a recorded bitch that hangs up on me eight or nine times. 

Anybody else bought it and have issues?

That's the version I have.  I love it, and little Buzz is even starting to master a few songs in Easy mode.  That is fun to watch.

I have not heard of anyone having any problems like that with the 360 versions.  It might be a Playstation issue.  I'm sure they will have a patch for it soon.

Yes.  I have the Van Halen sticker and have already sent away my box tops for the game. 

As for the DLC issue?

You'll only have it if you downloaded Dueling Banjos last week for World Tour. 

If you did?  Here's what you have to do to fix it. 

1) Go into GHWT in the Game Data Utilities menu and delete the game data.
2) Download the compatibility patch for GH5 from the options menu in the GH5 game.
3) Re-download individually all of the downloaded content from the PS Store EXCEPT Dueing Banjos
4) Install each downloaded song/pack
5) Play the game. 

If you spent $1.99 on Dueling Banjos?  Money wasted.

Upon Further Review:

I have concluded that Guitar Hero sucks. 

I own GH, GH2, GHIII, GH 80s, GH Smash Hits, GH World Tour, GH Metallica, GH5.  The only one I don't have is GH Aerosmith. 

I will not buy another GH game.  The setlists compared to Rock Band are absolutely awful.  The downloadable content is the pits.  The fact that you keep having to buy discs is asinine. 

What finally did me in, though, was GH 5.  After promising that you'd be able to export the setlist from GHWT, they wait until AFTER the launch to mention that you can't get ALL the songs from World Tour over.  In fact, you can't get but 35 of them.  And you can't get any Jimi Hendrix, you can't get any Ozzy, you can't get Beat It, you can't get Hotel California, you can't get Freak on a Leash, you can't get Hot For Teacher. 

Fuck this. 

Rock Band wins.  The battle is over. 

I'm not buying Band Hero, DJ Hero or any of their other shit.

My wife loathes the Beatles for no good reason.  Well, her reasoning is that they detract from the legacy of Elvis, but that's insufficient to me. 

So, no, out of respect for/deference to her I will not be purchasing that game. 

I will, however, be buying one of the cool new Guitars. 

That's another thing.... GH  guitars are worthless pieces of cheap ass trash compared to RB guitars.  Period.
