Sorry, I think you were posting at the same time I was....I deleted mine. He was shot twice at Rivermont Apartments in Tuscaloosa, and is being treated at a local hospital. No further word on his condition.

Tough couple of months for UAT players, first one gets beat on so bad by his girlfriend that he has to fight back and another gets shot.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Initial reports were that he was shot twice, but he was only shot once in the arm. Apparently he and his girlfriend pulled up in a car, and somebody was going to rob the girl not realizing that Deaderick was in the car as well. Deaderick got out to defend her, and he got shot. At that point, the attacker fled and Deaderick went upstairs to a second floor apartment. When EMS got there, he came back down with his arm wrapped and was able to put himself on the stretcher. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

That's what I was waiting for.

Just got word that he headbutted his way through the back of the ambulance.

Also, Saban has boldly decided to retroactively punish him for what transpired two years ago. He will be sitting out the VT game.

Thats nice that you were waiting on that to be a total piece of shit, Chizad. Way to go. I can't wait until an AU player gets hurt this season. I don't want to hear you bitch and cry when I rip on him.

Wah wah. Welcome to the X.

The AL.com comments section is flooded with comments about how outraged they are that someone would do this to an innocent young man at such an important time in his life, blah blah. I'll say it, Brandon Deaderick is a thug. Plain & simple. If he were at Auburn, he would have been off the team years ago after he headbutted his way through the back of a cop car to escape police custody. Him getting shot is no more surprising than 50 Cent getting shot.

Also, the AL.com comments are flooded with conspiracies about how Auburn is behind this. "There's no way it's coincidence that our kicker gets attacked, AND our poor innocent DE gets shot in the same offseason!".

If anything is fishy about this, it's the way Deaderick is presented as a superhero just saving the day. These Alabama players are always protecting their girlfriends, or trying to break up a fight when shit goes down.

I thought him highlighting the portion about it being "non-life threatening" implied he was glad the kid  was not hurt worse.

That being said the shit about headbutting the window out of the ambulance was pretty fucking funny.

What? Planning on shooting an Auburn player?

By the way, also on AL.com, there were bammers drawing comparisons to the girl who was brutally raped and murdered in Auburn.

WTF? He got shot in the arm, dude. He's 100% fine. They're talking about how he may actually be able to play Saturday.

I'm sorry, but I'm really sick and tired of the "unfortunate saint" stories that come out of Bama players incidents.

Maybe this one is true, but there are so many of them that I just don't believe it any longer.

Defending his girlfriend's honor?  Isn't this the same hooligan that headbutted or kicked his way out of a police car?  Thank God this modern-day Batman was there to save the day and thwart another criminal act.

Whatever.

If the Alabama boosters wouldn't buy these kids' "girlfriends" whom they live with BMW's, and just stick to buying them simpler more modest cars, these kids would be safer.
