Reality TV, for better or worse, has come to Auburn football.

The university announced Monday that a weekly 30-minute show that is supposed to take you inside the Tigers will be appearing on a TV near you this fall. Auburn says it will be a ``reality-based, documentary-style production that will give Tiger fans a never-before look at the inner workings of the Auburn football program.''

Well, it'll be as much reality as a show produced by Auburn will allow. Maybe we should focus on the "documentary'' part.

It's called "Auburn Football: Every Day'' and will be aired in Alabama and in the Southeast on CSS.

Here's some more, from the Auburn PR release:

"I think it will give our fans a true sense of what it is like on a daily basis for the coaches, players and staff as we build a foundation for this program,'' said coach Gene Chizik.

Athletics Director Jay Jacobs said the goal is ``is to to look for dynamic ways to further strengthen the brand of Auburn football."

Leading up to the debut on Sept. 4, fans can visit www.auburntigers.com to catch several weekly webisodes of Auburn Football: Every Day... that will be available periodically on the front page of the official Auburn Athletic Department website.

The Auburn network has its hand in it, but it's being produced by Authentic Films, whose founders have won a combined 12 Emmy's.

•Auburn practiced 11 straight days and had 14 practice sessions before taking its first break Sunday and Monday.

The schedule just arrived for the next two weeks:

Auburn returns to the field Tuesday, the first of six straight practice days. Then the Tigers will take next Monday off before practicing four straight days before taking the following Saturday off. Practices are closed to the public.

•Monday's first day of classes officially brought receiver Philip Pierre-Louis back to the football team. He's been in Auburn, but was waiting for classes to begin to rejoin the team. The redshirt freshman played only one play last season after suffering a knee injury returning the opening kickoff in the season-opener.
