He was just on Jim Rome bitching about being left out of the BCSCG.  His main beef was that the Big 12 tiebreaker fucked him.  He said that he petitioned the rule to be changed, but the ADs didn't even look at the issue.  Then he dropped this gem: "I'm sure it works well for the majority of the teams in our conference, but we think it should be changed."

In his favor, he made some strong arguments for a playoff and negated some of the detractors' arguments.  Said that the kids could play extra games (they just added 12th game and CG for some conferences) and that the 12th game was added for no reason other than $$.  He also thinks that all conferences should have CG or none should have them.

I agree, that all conferences should have a Championship Game, but what that would do is disband a couple conferences, so that all of the conferences could have 12 teams.  That, in itself, would be a start.  Do that for a couple of years, then work in some sort of playoff of the top teams.

Unfortunately he does have a MNC ring. At least he is a very audible proponent of a playoff. It beats the alternative of him being a wus AND against a playoff system.

I am only discussing the whiney factor - his voice is like fingernails + chalkboard.  And of course, thanks to Vince Young pulling his ass out of the fire at the very last moment before he was gonna be tarred and feathered on his way out of Austin, yes, he has that ring - and instantly went from Mack Can't Win The Big One to Mack the Football God... so I am subjected to that voice all the damn time...

Lots of coaches are in favor of a playoff - Mack is in favor because he consistently gets screwed because he can't run the table in his half of the Big 12 and he thinks it will work in his favor to have a playoff.  Whatever - other than OK, the Big 12 South sucks ass - no excuses.

Until Mack goes undefeated and gets left out of the BCSCG, he can shut the Fuck up. If they had beat that shitty TT squad, he wouldn't have to complain. They screwed themselves. Nuff said.
