Have any of you ever tried to replace bermuda grass?
« on: June 04, 2009, 06:33:22 PM »
I am so fucking sick of my bermuda and was wondering how hard it is to change to a fescue or a Zoysia?

Have any of you ever changed out your bermuda for something else?

Your going to have to dig up the bermuda, lay down top soil and then lay down Zoysia. Very costly and time consuming.

But the results are FABULOUS and SO WORTH IT.  My parents did this in a HUGE backyard... cussed the entire process but it looked unreal kinds of good for my sister's wedding reception.

It looks great but renting a Bobcat and tearing up an existing yard is a shit ton of work. I cant stand laying sod/cutting in sod.

I 100% agree, I worked for a landscaping company for 5 years and I think laying/rolling/cutting in sod was my least favorite part of the job.

Just run by the BP in Hoover around 6 in the morning and you can get all the help you need.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."
