You can also say the hell with it and twist up a fat one.

Why only have one or the other?  It would be like having a cupcake with no frosting.

Holla atcha boy.

Will do.  Thinking of a little golf action too...so far it's just me and the other guy, and we could use a third.  Perhaps on Friday or Saturday.  You'll hear from me early to mid next week.

Why only have one or the other?  It would be like having a cupcake with no frosting.

Uhhh...yeah...now I'm definitely holla-ing.

Ratafia Dram Rum Mixture
Makes almost 1 liter

2 ½ cups Rum (Barcardi Gold, Mount Gay)
3 Cinnamon sticks
3 Whole Nutmeg
3 Slices of Ginger clove (peel a clove of ginger with carrot peeler, slice 3 quarter-inch medallions, wrap remaining ginger and refridgerate)
Zest of two limes

Grate the whole nutmegs. Crush the cinnamon sticks. In a jar that can be resealed, combine the above and let sit for 4 days, shaking and agitating the mixture daily.

Upon the fourth day prepare simple syrup.

Simple Syrup
Bring 1 1/2 cups of water to boil, add 3 cups sugar and stir.

When completely dissolved, take off heat and let cool.

Combine the rum mixture with the simple syrup. This should be just short of a liter, and fit in an cleaned, empty liquor bottle. Keep refrigerated.

Traditional Milk Punch

1 oz Brandy or Bourbon
1/4 oz Dark Rum
1 1/2 oz Milk
1 1/2 oz Half & Half
1/2 oz Ratafia Dram Syrup
2 dashes Vanilla Extract

Shake, strain, garnish with grated nutmeg

These refreshing punch recipes using Ratafia Dram can easily be reproduced at home.

Blueberry Lime punch

1 ½ oz Rum (or Brandy or Whisky)
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
6 Blueberries, muddled
1 oz tea (optional, and variety is up to you)
1 oz Ratafia Dram

Shake together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into an old fashioned or highball glass.

Raspberry Lemon Punch
Makes 1 cocktail

1 ½ oz Rum (or Brandy or Whisky)
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
6 Raspberries, muddled
1 oz tea (optional, and variety is up to you)
1 oz Dram

Shake together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into an old fashioned or highball glass.

Orange Punch

1 ½ oz Rum (or Brandy or Whisky)
1 oz Fresh Orange Juice
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz Dram

Shake together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into an old fashioned or highball glass.

Cranberry-Pineapple Punch
1 ½ oz Rum (or Brandy)
1 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 oz Dram
½ oz Kahlua (optional, or same amount of cold coffee...it's interesting)

Shake together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour into an old-fashioned or highball glass.

I've found myself hooked on Bud Light with Lime lately.  I've been trying to decide how gay it is.  I know it's not as gay as Heineken, but I'm thinking it's still pretty high up there on the gay meter.  Unfortunately, I've pretty much decided I'll let people call me gay, it's good stuff.
I also like a good margarita.  I used to by different mixes, triple sec, grenadine, sweet and sour, trying to get them just right.  I finally decided you can't hardly beat just using a can of frozen limeade, a splash of orange juice, and as much tequila as you can stand in a blender with ice.

Neither Bud Light Lime nor Heiney are ghey.  Don't you ever hesitate to plant your lips on a Heiney.  Be proud and tell everyone around you how much you enjoy it.

Juicy Lucy

Amaretto
Creme de coconut
Captain Morgan's Coconut Rum

I am a chick, so I am allowed teh frooty ones.  I have also been known to drink the Captain's Coconut straight, on the rocks, until I passed out.  Maybe.  I don't really remember.

IMO?  The best margaritas are made with an entire fresh lime squeezed over the ice first (I am a rocks/no salt girl), with more fresh limes used in the mix.  Artificial lime flavors are inadequate.  I also prefer a splash of OJ to triple sec - and would never use sweet and sour.

The best margaritas are made with three ingredients.

Tequilla (preferably Margaritaville Silver), Cointreau, and lime juice.

My wife keeps that made up in the summertime.
I like my minted tea and bourbon.
I put 6 tea bags and a handfull of fresh mint in a 10 cup coffee carafe. Add water to coffee maker and let it run. This tea will be strong and dark like coffee. As soon as the water has all ran through, pour this tea into a glass container after removing the mint and the bags.
Mix with your favorite bourbon in a glass with ice cubes.

I agree with you. Bud Light Lime is a good beer. I like darker beers, but after you finish cutting the grass, or when you are by the pool out in the sun, Bud Light and Bud Lite Lime are the way to go...

I don't like any of the other lime beers, but I am hooked on the Bud Lite version...

Try Bud Lite Lime mixed with spicy climata juice.  You can find this juice at wally world.  Mix it about half and half, then enjoy.  My spanish neighbors got me hooked on this stuff.

Is a Bloody Mary considered a fruity drink?

I like Captain Morgans coconut rum mixed with Mt. Dew.
