You can change the year range to compare "eras".  Look at how some of the "old guard" at the top of the complete all time list have fallen off during modern times, like since 1993 and the 85 scholarhip rule.  Notice that with a couple of exceptions (like the Barfield years), Auburn remains very consistent.  Try things like 1993-2008 (since the 85 Scholarship rule).  Look at bammer and Auburn 1892-1982, then do the same 1983-2008.

Also of note is that we win the head to head of 2007-2007, but 08 by itself was such a disaster that it killed just a two year average. So you can't really point to "Two-Thousand-Saban" as the end of our "streak".
