Chizik the Savior

Chizik the Savior
« on: March 28, 2009, 09:39:17 AM »
If Gene Chizik was not named head coach, today would be A-Day.  Anybody look outside lately?  It's been miserable for the past three days.  Talk about a sloppy time in Auburn.  Thanks Coach!

If it is anything remotely similar to s.e. al in AU today, this would be an absolutely horrific day for A-Day.

It's THE way to look at it.  If I'm going to have to read Greasey's negative comments after ever minor thing Chizik does or is associated with, I'm sure as hell going to post the positive spin on them as well.

Did he forsee it, or did he cause it to support his actions?

Just curious, do you guys start these posts just to gig GW and Kaos?  Are you hoping their blood pressure will shoot up so fast they'll just stroke out?
Also, did I miss an explanation of GW's irrational hatred of the new coaching staff?  Wasn't there something about inside double secret info that couldn't be revealed or a personal insult that couldn't be discussed?  When will the statute of limitations be up so we can get the "real" information?

I think you're a liar.  You're full of shit.  Post it to reestablish respect and credibility on this board.

You are completely full of shit. You don't get to come to a talk board and set the bar on being a completely irrational dickhead towards a new coach at like five fucking times the height it was before and then play your reasoning off as being "something too sensitive to discuss".

You are a complete joke on this board. Nothing short. A bammer mole (most likely, almost definitely) or just the biggest dickhead of an AU fan that ever lived. I mean you could tell us that gene moved in to town and took to screwing tubs wife while tubs was in the house and calling him a pussy that couldnt get the job done as he was leaving and it wouldn't explain your dickheadedness.

greasey, you're the problem, not Coach Chizik.  You come in bashing Auburn's HC for about a month or two.  Then, you're going to say....Oh, it's because of personal reasons?  What the fuck ever, bammer boy.  Keep fighting the good fight and remember.....RTR

A month or two my ass. I've had it with this worthless piece of shit  since before he loaded up and left Auburn ("No one wins championships at Auburn" his words not mine) for the greener pastures of Texas.
And if you think I'm one to back down off of my word to someone who I respect to make a bunch of message board goobs happy then you are dumb enough to believe anything fuckhead says.
May God have mercy on your ignorant sould.

Just curious - do you have a link for that quote?

Also, is that the reason why you personally hate him?

As I recall it was was like trying to prove a negative with a positive.

He never said that you couldn't win championships at AU he said that went to Texas for the chance to win championships.

Some would say that is splitting hairs some would not.

At the time I felt a little stung by the words but most of it is/was coach speak in my opinion.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I believe you guys were right, and it was something MANY people fired up over the Chizik hire were trying to find, and couldn't.  I think it was a semi-manufactured "quote" from an opinion maker newspaper writer based on another statement he made at the time of his hiring at Texas.

I don't think I've EVER seen that as a provable quote direct from Chizik.

I remember Coach Chizik saying something to the affect of having a better chance to win a Championship at Texas.  At first glance, it looks like he's saying that you can't win Championships at Auburn, but that's not what he meant.  I also remember the bammers taking that, and running with it.  Then, in Coach Chizik's first year at Texas, they win the National Championship....lol.
