That's what I say. I can't decide which would be better viewing; him eating the ramp right at the beginning (which would totally blow the buildup altogether) or nosediving into the fountain at the end of the jump (not fatal, of course).

Oh damn .... I didn't notice the "volcano" earlier. A flaming and smoking spiral into the fountain would be sweet! He's been staring down that ramp for a while now. He's got to be thinking about the other career opportunities he could have pursued, but he can't chicken out. He'd be reduced to performing in the Blue Man Group from now on.

For some unknown reason Carl watched this - that was about as stupid as anything I have seen in a long time. Big freaking deal. And the part i hate the most is when they get all emotional and "DUDE! I DID IT!!" and stuff when it's over - you moron - you jumped a bike. You didn't cure cancer. You didn't find Jimmy Hoffa. And for the announcer guy to say "You are a real athlete..." WTF? How was that REMOTELY athletic???

I hate those things - at least Robbie Knievil (sp??) is cute.

What seemed odd to me is that after fucking his hand all sorts of up on the landing, his fiance was trying to be all nice and help keep him from bleeding all over the place. She didnt even care that he bled all over her nice white coat, but as she was trying to help him, he seemed more interested in hugging the other dudes who were hanging around him and completely uninterested in her. That whole situation just seemed odd to me. Maybe she's a ho, and he's mad at her, or maybe hes just gay.

That shit was awesome. Much better than last year. And it takes an extreme amount of athleticism to control a bike in that situation.

It takes huge freaking balls to drive that bike back off the top with a 60 foot drop before you hit the ramp.

That shit rocked. I do hate all the hoopla before the actual stunts though.

I'm willing to top those stunts for next year. But what can top a truck flipping (any Saturday night in Dallas county) and the driver walking away. Or some goob landing a bike on a building while his wife tries to look not quite so skanky when the camera is on her.

My brother in law and his son are huge into racing dirt bikes. I was watching with them and listening while they explained some of the shit this guy had to do to make the jump. Awesome stuff.

I'm trying to figure out why any of you douchebags watched it. You knew what he was going to do and you also knew full well they were going to have 2 hours of hype and run throughs before he made the jump. Do you not have teh cables?

I never raced bikes and I loved the stunt. Get over it. People were impressed and the dude got paid millions for it I'm sure. Looks like someone has a bad case of envy going on here and it ain't me.

If he wanted to do something spectacular welllllll maybe he should have shot himself out of a cannon over the building and then landed into a net laying on the ground below.

I've always felt it was stupid to ride motorcycles. Not knocking people who do, but to me it's stupid. I enjoy my health too much.

It was a magnificent freaking stunt. There was no safety net. If he misjudged his speed too badly or whatever he could have hit the edge and toppled 100 feet down to the pavement and ramp. The jump down took balls as big as church bells. To go sailing off the edge of a building and falling 60+ feet before you hit the ramp is heart stopping. He overshot it a bit and if he had missed it more he could have been toast.

I guess you weren't an evel knievel fan either? lol. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

But as far as this stunt on new years went here is a video of some guys out stunting out jumping just plain out riding the hell out of that 2 hour snooze fest.

And as far as skills go how many times does this cat put his foot down?

Now that is riding worth watching.
