AUBURN -- The history-making win was so dull that even Auburn players had a hard time mustering any enthusiasm about the feat.

Auburn defeated Division II Tuskegee 75-32 Wednesday at an almost empty Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Tuskegee's 32 points were the lowest total in the 41-year history of the arena. That total was the fewest by an Auburn opponent since Oglethrope scored 23 on Feb. 12, 1948.

"You're supposed to win when you only give up 32," Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo said.

Auburn (5-4) looked flat at times after a 10-day, exam-related layoff, but fattened its margin in the second half. Five players scored in double-figures, and Mobile native Johnnie Lett added a game-high 10 rebounds.

Tuskegee (0-3) made only 15-of-64 shots (23 percent), including 1-of-16 from 3-point range. The Golden Tigers were also 1-of-8 from the free-throw line.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Are we still guardedly optimistic?  Or does Tuskeegee truly suck hind tit?

Both, but definitely moreso the latter than the former.

I see that you are taking a back-seat, no shit-talk, ho-hum approach to your unanimously #1 ranked Tarheels.  Interesting approach...they are a dominant team, for sure.  I'm thinking you don't want to jinx them.

Yeah, well, that's the way I roll.

I'm keeping my proverbial fingers crossed for another NCAA championship this year (in addition to the ACC championship).  We have a lot of great players who decided to stick with it another year instead of going to the NBA (some waiting until a few days before the commitment deadline).  So, anyway, there's no reason why we shouldn't do it if everybody stays healthy (knock on wood) but I'm not going to talk any shit...I am just a wee bit superstitious.

Besides, it would be in poor taste to talk shit.

Nice addendum.

I learn this year in and year out (see TigersX Fantasy Football league, for instance), but I always end up talking the shit because it's much more fun to go back and forth with compadres then to remain completely silent.  I will never learn my lesson.

Go Duke.

Now, having said that. I've already seen Carolina play 3-4 times this year.  It's the Heels and everyone else.  Usually, there's 7-8 teams that all look like they could get hot at the right time and make a run at the trophy.

Nope...it's the Heels to lose.  Toooo freakin' talented and deep at every position. Oh, did I mention they have Roy Williams?
