Yeah. I give a shit what Steve Fuckfinger's wife says.  That freeloading bastard should have been fired years ago.

The only thing she said that made any sense was that Saban pays players.  That's the only rational thing in her entire bitchy monologue.

little bitchy monologue? I'd be FUCKIN' IRRATE...she has Every right to be pissed.  Auburn doesn't deserve a good coach. They always seem to fuck someone over and until they can get people that have a good head on their shoulders to run the Show.....the PTB.....we don't deserve a good coach and I've been an Auburn fan my whole life, I'll still be an Auburn fan standing behind a shitty coach (Unhappy about it, but I'll still stand strong behind the Coach).

Also, that saying rings true here, "Loose lips sinks ships".

Good God, you're a DUMBASS.

There is no sting. Tuberville knew how to beat Alabama, but he wasn't getting it done overall. Four-loss seasons and squandered opportunities weren't cutting it.  Auburn went in a different direction. I'm okay with it.

The only thing that concerns me is that the person making the hire might be even stupider than Mal Moore -- and Mal is one stupid son of a bitch.  He's borderline retarded. I don't think Auburn's AD is quite that ignorant, but what he lacks in stupidity he makes up for in pomposity.  Moore is a moron, but he sort of knows he is. Jacobs isn't self-aware enough to understand that yet.

Who gives a fiddly fuck what the wives of some coaches have to say?  Do you really think Shula was allowed to tell all his assistants in a face-to-face meeting?  Why fuck no.  They found out from Finebaum in the middle of the night.  Did Robert Witt call Mike Price's son's wife into his office and let her know in advance he was letting Pappy go?  Why fuck no. They found out at a press conference.  Worry about your own mismanaged program, skippy.

The only thing of substance in either pissy call is the fact that even the wives of rival coaches are aware that Alabama is paying players again.  I find that amusing, as it confirms what you know in your heart and fear most of all.

The wife of an assistant coach doesn't know the first fucking thing about a recruiting class -- other than the fact that Alabama is paying players again.

Nice try, faux-copper.

oh, she knows SO much that she is credible in saying what Alabama is doing with a recruiting class, however, she has no idea that AU's class will go to shit (this has already started) since CTT is gone. no way she was pandering to the fanbase there. i guess if CNS were fired tomorrow and Kevin Steele's wife got on the phones talking about how dirty of a program AU runs, it would be totally credible to you. it does not take a genius to figure out AU's 09 class will be fucked.

Well then I can count on you not figuring it out, because genius isn't in your resume.

You're a damn fool if you think some ditzy ass wife of a coach would call into a radio show first of all and second would know the first damn thing about recruiting or anything else even if they did.  All they know is their social club, shopping their ass off and driving the kids around in the SUV that hubby pays for. I'm sure they're pissed that their husbands got fired. I hate it for them. But that's the life. They all knew it when they got in.

Oh yeah, Ditzy Dunn has her finger on the pulse of recruiting, dumbass.

It's better to keep your stupid trap shut and have people think you're a fool than it is to open it and remove all doubt.

so you don't think it was a coach's wife? either one?

A. I don't know. Maybe it was. But I could call in tomorrow and claim to be Mal Moore and they'd have no way of proving different.

B. I don't care. It doesn't matter if it was or it wasn't. They don't know shit from shinola anyway. Who gives a fuck what they think? Do you really believe Urban Meyer's wife has any idea what's going on outside her isolated little circle? Why fuck no. They don't know a single damn thing. Would your wife be qualified to call a radio show and give an accurate assessment of your job?  And by wife, I don't mean that stained centerfold you keep at the dispatch desk. I mean a real live person.

C. Fuck them if it was.  They don't live in the real world.  I'm going to let some people go after the first of the year.  I'm changing some duties and moving some people around. I already know which division I'm going to restructure and which boss I'm taking out. I won't be calling their fucking wives into the office a day in advance to let them know.  I'll cut them on a Friday. Chances are the word will get back to the wives thanks to office gossip before those I'm letting loose get around to telling.  And after i whack the head guy, the rest down the line will probably figure out what's coming. You can't control that. It's reality.

D. Shit like this is always painful. It's like a divorce. There's no good way to do it.  This was handled better than all nineteen of Bama's coaching changes over the last five years. So up yours. Peddle your shit somewhere else.

no denying the ineptitude of our Athletic Department, i even spoke of it numerous times before the Saban hire. i just knew there was some way we could fuck up the firing of Mike Shula and manage to hire somebody else that would fuck the program up. Mal Moore finally did something right with the CNS deal (blind squirell, nut, etc.) don't look for that shit to happen again. the only difference is our coaches didn't have a colossal fuckup here and there over a period of 10 years, they were just fuckups to begin with. we have plenty of experience with a fucked up coaching situation. however, Alabama didn't fuck anything up yesterday.

And we don't know if Auburn did either.

There's no good way to fire people if you have to can more than one at a time.  I've been on both sides of the table.

I once worked at a place where they fed us a "last supper" on Wednesday and the CEO assured us everything was fine, money was good and we were going to keep rolling.  Friday morning they invited my entire media group (43 of us) to a retreat at a country club.  But the catch was we all had to arrive 15 minutes apart.

It started at 8 a.m.  By 8:30 all 43 of us knew there was a massacre going down. Phones were buzzing. People knew that when they showed up they were going to either be sacrificed or saved. Wives were calling other wives to see who survived, and dropping accidental bombs on the ones who didn't know.  I was one of the fortunate nine who avoided the cuts and nearly got into a fight in the parking lot with one of the axed ones because I didn't exit the building with my separation papers like he did.

Three years later we bought another company in New York.  I worked up there for a couple of months with the people in that office, assuring them the entire time that we had no plans to eliminate their positions -- even though that determination had been made before we made the buy.  I knew I was up there milking their knowledge, but couldn't tell them, even though I grew pretty close to a couple of them in that time.  When it came time for that massacre, the word got out quickly because of the Teamsters. We couldn't move the equipment out of the NY office ourselves because of Teamster rules, so they showed up a day early to clean it out.  I told the head guy that afternoon -- he was the only one who got a severance package -- but the rest knew.  My phone rang all night. The next day, my boss and the HR people arrived "unexpectedly" and we whacked them all.  That sucked ass.

But it's business. No good way to do it.

This was business too.

Coaching change might hurt recruiting. Might help it.

I agree with the Jacobs part.  He's a complete moron.  Except you can't really stick him for this.  His office has more leaks than a colander. There were idiots camped out in the hallway "blogging" every fart.  It was practically impossible to control that part of it.

You are an Alabama Colossal Fuckup.  There's a good...no...  GREAT chance that people involved with Auburn follow, are more up to date, and capable of providing more factual information than some some Dillhole the Dispatcher douche nozzel pumping BG's anus dry, then coming here acting as if you are some complete and end all know it all.

You're as bad if not worse than Fucking DKW on the other board, only you come with BG's arrogant attitude.  You're a fucking hybrid of made from stupidity and arrogance.  A true one of a kind.
