Who Is?

If I'm making the call, I'm calling some of these people:

Gruden
Bill Cowher
the guy at TCU

What have Gruden or Cowher ever done on the college level?  How do you know they will recruit or that their style will be successful on the college level?  Do you actually think either one of them want to coach on the college level and put up all the bullshit that comes with an AD, President, and BOT's

"the guy at TCU"  really? you don't even know his name

What had Pete Carroll ever done at the college level?

I know his name. I chose not to invoke it.

I know his name. I chose not to invoke it.

While Carroll never was a college head coach prior to USC he was in the college game from 74-83 as an assistant.  He had a taste for what it was like.

Gruden has some experience at college:
Background: Quarterback at Dayton (1982-84), graduating with a degree in communications. The Flyers had a 24-7 record in Gruden's three varsity seasons. Coach collegiately at Tennessee (1986-87), Southeast Missouri State (1988), Pacific (1989), and Pittsburgh (1991).

My question is his willingness to come back as he has staed many times that he has no interest

Since this seems to maybe be more appropriate...I will post what I put in another thread here...

Quote
I know you guys are going to kill me for this, but the more and more I think about it, I think Muschamp may be the best choice right now. I think it is a moot point, but if we could get him, I think it may be a good hire.

Muschamp knows Saban. He knows how he works, he knows how he recruits, and he knows how he coaches. He would know what it takes to compete on the recruiting trail...which is BY FAR what Saban was kicking Tubs ass in. He is a young, aggressive dude. HUGE name! Could generate A LOT of excitement. We would have a solid defense still. I would almost bet that our recruiting commitments would stay put if he was announced. AND I bet that since he is such a defensive mind, he would try to hire a great OC and then he would STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY. He is a young dude and he could be aroud for a while if we treated him right.

I'll say this, he has got IT. Not sure what IT is, but you don't get to where he is, which is in negotiations (as a 30 something) to take over a TOP 3 PROGRAM in the country without have IT. Name another coach that you could say all of these things about. Sure, he has no HC experience...but he has BIG GAME experience and BIG TIME PROGRAM experience. If he yook the job, he would know EXACTLY what he was getting into.

The coach from TCU, Tech, Natti or any of the other schools can't say that...

One other thing about Gruden;  It looks like the Bucs are headed for the playoffs, are you really willing to wait that long?

Why is no one mentioning the DC at Florida - Charlie Strong?  Good coach, minority, been in a successful program...

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I'm in the Charlie Strong camp, too, but my only thought is why isn't he a head coach somewhere?  Seems like he's paid his dues as a DC in this league long enough.

Isn't it obvious?  Everyone wants to keep the black man down.  I would love to see us hire Charlie

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."
