Anyone who wants Muschamp back right now needs their head examined.  The SEC does not suffer fools.  Last time I checked folks didn't come to the SEC to cut their head coaching teeth.  That is what some other conferences are for.

Exactly.

All I hear is Davis and Gruden.

I'd love to have Davis.

Gruden: not sure I want him, and not sure if he'd want to come to the college ranks.  I've not heard any rumblings about him losing his job, but then I'm not following the Bucs very closely.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Does Jacobs have the power to Fire Tubs?  I would think that Gogue would be the ax man.  If he is meeting with Jacobs only I doubt he is getting canned.

Davis would be great. Unfortunately, I don't think Tubbs is going anywhere. The question is will he have to dump some of his shitty assistants???

In his first news conference as AUBURN'S head coach in 1981, Pat Dye was asked this question:  "How long will it take you to beat Alabama"?  To which he responded, "Oh, about 60 minutes".

And the answer is yes.

Quote
"What I want to do is I want an offensive coordinator to give him the freedom to bring in somebody if he has someone in mind," Tuberville said. "He'll probably want to visit with the ones here on the staff, which I would allow him to do."

Al Del Greco reported on Jox this morning that it doesn't look good right now for any of the coaches...including Tuberville.

Wow. I don't think Del Greco would say that unless he knew something. I stand by that I would be shocked if he was let go. I really don't know who we would get...

Maybe we could get someone who is young and aggressive with a chip up his ass so he doesn't take any of Saban's shit. It seems to me, Tubby has just tried to passively ignore the fact that Saban is kicking his ass. I want someone to say, fuck this, i am not taking this saban worshiping bullshit anymore and I am going to do everything I can, whether it takes working 20 hours a day, to recruit the best players, coach the best scemes, and develope the best game plan I can possibly develope. Tubby just kind of goes with the flow and it has gotten a bit old...

I am listening to Jox on-line and they are reporting an assistant coach being stated as saying, "it's not just us. We feel that we are all going to be out of here, including Tuberville. We feel Auburn wants to go in another direction."

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

As I have already posted I am torn whether Tubs should stay or go. 40% Stay 60% Go.

My brain tells me that I think he stays and makes a major shakeup to the offense.  However, I am starting to wonder after its taken this long for a vote of confidence. I would think that a meeting would suffice and if we truly intended on keeping him Jacobs would come out and say Tubs isn't going anywhere.

That has happened, why? What would be taking so long to discuss, yeah they could be talking specifics about which coordinator stays, but wouldn't they give Tubs the approval and then continue to work out that stuff. I'm wondering if they aren't trying to negotiate his buyout.

I agree with all of this, but I still like the guy. He's the antithesis of Saban, and that's what I like about him. Saban is a win at all costs, high strung, megalomaniacal  asshole who refuses to discipline any of the thugs that terrorize the strip until finally they are placed behind bars and removed from society as a whole. A guy who by his own admission "bends any rule he can to the breaking point." Meanwhile Tubs is laid back and cool as a breeze. Yet discipline problems on the plains are one in a million, but when there is a problem, he's quick to be heavy handed. Accessible and friendly to fans, going on trips to Iraq to do what he can for the troops, bringing in Chette, hard fighting solider, and on and on. And he's got a sharp dry-humored wit that cracks my shit up to boot. Bottom line, he's a solid dude.

Right now, at this point in history, do we need a little more fire and intensity? I suppose so, but I would hope the cost wouldn't get us a Fulmer Cup championship like that other school in the state. I would hope there would be some sort of position for Tubs, if he'd be willing to take it. Hell, I'd love to see him as an AD. I hate to tarnish his legacy.
