https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/13/us/politics/matt-gaetz-ethics-committee-report.html

Fear. Do you have any fear? I certainly don't but the media is abuzz about Gaetz. Just the mere mention of his name sends many on the left screaming in a panic and even some on the right feeling kind of queasy at the prospect of potentially being targeted by the incoming POTUS' choice as America's top cop.
Godzirra! Totally unqualified. Pervert!
Everybody hates him. He's a disruptor.
Wear's too much hair gel.

This isn't a popular pick, it wasn't meant to be. Gaetz is truly no saint and will be stripped bare and fully demonized as expected, moreso than other major cabinet nominees including Hegseth, Gabbard, RFK Jr., et al.

It's reminicent of JFK choosing brother Bobby to clean up the corruption in DC and the country at large. The swamp and its connective entities of cronies, contractors, lobbyists and bagmen do not like to be under the watchful eye of an individual that would threaten the way their lives are enriched as parasites on the system. Draining the swamp is a promise DJT made to the American public before he became 45.

It might be too much of a stetch thinking that all of Trump's choices get confirmed.
I personally love the fact that many of them are wildly wealthy and committed to the success and prosperity of our country as true public servants.

Thing's are about to get very interesting.
The negative pushback and fear mongering is currently at a slow boil and is about to be dialed up. This is political theatre and I'm very proud to be among the throng of extras as a simple minded deplorable and bitter clinger.

God Bless America!

The left was all giddy and happy when the DOJ was run by their bullies.

This nominee is the toughest of all sells.
Trey Gowdy is playing the mouthpiece of those who hate the Gaetz choice. Gowdy claims that there are plenty more suitable candidates to take this position citing mostly the character flaws of the former Rep. from Florida.
Nothing came of the ethics charges brought against Gaetz so now the personal smears will be heavy and relentless.

Mollie Hemingway of the Federalist insists that Gaetz would be an ardent champion to root out the injustice inside the DOJ. Maybe she realizes that while Gaetz has many personal flaws, he scares the living shit out of those that have been operating with impunity for years by allowing erroneous charges to be brought against political enemies.
I'm looking for those that cry the loudest but I'm also looking for those that have been put out of the DC game and appear to be outraged that DJT would pick a guy that would expose the partisanship, excesses and criminal activity of our elected leaders. Pot meets kettle.

Just as an aside I have no idea what or why my post's often contain this intermittent microscopic print and can only guess it's a virus of sorts. I also wonder if the Russo-Vladimir and similar psedo postings are a product of something I invited. Is this even possible or am I reading too much into this?

I say this because MY LINK to our site is hanging by a thread and if I log out it is all but certain that I would be vanquished. And that becomes very evident when I try to sign up with the rest of you guys around March Madness. I can't even explain how I maneuver that hurdle.

I know my sign-in info.
It hasn't changed.
But if I log out and try to sign back in I will be blocked.

He took the high road last time. He was magnanamous toward Hillary.  He didn’t investigate her, her foundation, her role in the death of the soldiers at Benghazi.

It was his biggest mistake.

They didn’t see grace, they interpreted it as weakness and used every weapon in their arsenal to destroy him for the past 8 years.

I hope he learned.  It won’t happen but I’d love to see them all perp walked.  Pelosi.  Schumer. Schiff. Waters. Swallowswell. The J6 committee. Fauci. Miley. Hillary.  The list is long.

Yep.  For Wes to suggest Trump pursued any sort of investigations or prosecution of the Clintons is absurd.  He should have.  He didn’t.

Your googler broken?  "Trump investigation of Hillary Clinton"  try that one.

Because your statement above is demonstrably false.  You're either lying or you're stupid.  I don't think you're stupid.

From a 2020 PolitiFact article

No special counsel was ever appointed to investigate Hillary Clinton

Backed by rally-goers chanting "Lock her up," President Donald Trump tried to have his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton, investigated by a special counsel. But he was never able to make it happen.

In 2017, Trump sought to have his then-Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, "un-recuse" himself from the Justice Department's investigation into whether foreign election interference benefited Trump. According to the special counsel investigation headed by Robert Mueller, Trump wanted Sessions to do this to help in prosecuting Clinton for her use of a private email server while secretary of state, even though the Justice Department had closed its case on that matter in 2016.

But no special prosecutor was ever tasked with investigating Clinton.

The closest thing to an investigation of Clinton's emails was released publicly in October 2019, but it was actually a probe that began before Trump was elected president. The three-year-long investigation by the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security found that there was no widespread mishandling of classified information.

"While there were some instances of classified information being inappropriately introduced into an unclassified system in furtherance of expedience, by and large, the individuals interviewed were aware of security policies and did their best to implement them in their operations," the report said.

We rate this a Promise Broken.
