Pre-Dick-Shuns Week Zwolf
« on: November 12, 2024, 03:19:29 PM »
After a tough week, in which we lost late to pesky, Open Date, the Tigers get back in action this Saturday against the mighty Eagle Hawk War something or others of La. Monroe.  The overall schedule around the country is putrid, but it’s still the best game on the planet, so I’ll watch.

Texas @ Arkansas: (Tex -13.5) The Hawgs are coming off a bye week themselves, and welcome in the Longhorns to Fayettenam.  Arky got plowed by a mediocre LSU, whipped up on Hail State, then got run out of town on a rail by Ole Miss.  The Horns throttled a depleted Gusty Gaytah club Saturday, and come in as 13.5 point favorites.  While the Piggies have embarrassed Texas in the not too distant past, this won’t be one of those years.  The Horns handle that business.

Texas:  38

Arkansas:  21

Tennessee @ FUGA: (FUGA -10) Ten is a pretty big number for a team not playing well.  Especially against a defense that’s upper echelon in the country.  Carson Mule Face Beck is throwing it to the wrong colored jerseys a lot lately, and that doesn’t bode well against this D.  I originally thought the double digit line was due to Nico Imawakaynukalakaho being injured, but all indications are, he’ll be ready to go.  This match is a loser leave town, no disqualification with a 60 minute time limit.  I hate it, but….

FUGA:  27

Tennessee:  21

Louisiana Monroe @ Auburn: (AU -24) The Hawks come in at 5-4 and riding a 3 game losing streak.  Not the worst version of ULM football, so it might be somewhat competitive, especially given that AU’s offense has trouble scoring against air.  My expectations are more of a short wish list.  I want to see Hank Brown or Walker White under center, and I want to see them open shit up and get err’body involved.  F it!  We have nothing to lose.  Give A&M and Bama something to think about.  Let’s do this.

Auburn:  48

ULM:  17

Feel free to opine, or talk amongst yourselves.  Or otherwise, bugger off

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Don’t disagree with your picks. I would love to see Tennessee pull an upset, but am not sure they have it in them.

Amen. Give me Hank. Let him acclimate.

Don't rush me, sonny. You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.

Texas 41
Arkansas 16

Hogs got smoked last time they played. They've had a bye week to wash that off and they hate Texas. Problem is Texas is just better on every level.

Georgia 24
Tennessee 14
I don't think UT's one-dimensional offense can hold up against a solid Georgia squad. The Dawgs offense is mostly garbage, so they won't get a bunch of points. They'll get enough to win this at home. Hard to pick them to lose twice in a row.

Auburn 31
ULM 13
Probably will feel like an offensive explosion compared to the last few weeks.ULM started off hot but have floundered in recent weeks. Auburn likely plays a lot of guys as they prepare the anus for the last two weeks. Just like Snags at law school.

South Carolina 34
Missouri 24
The Gamecocks have been a surprise team in the SEC this year. That pass rush is severe. The run game is great. The CoMo Tigers have sustained injuries to the point it has brought them to a crossroads. And unlike Robert Johnson, there are no deals to be made with the Beamer Ball Boys, only pain to be absorbed.

*G5 Special of the Week*
Tulane 35
Navy 31
The Green Wave don't give up a ton of points on the regs, but they rarely face a team that can score the multiple ways Navy can. Navy's defense has taken on a bit of water in the recent weeks. That spells trouble against Tulane how can pound you into submission with a punishing attack. Close early, but I see the Wave rolling away late in the game to get the win.
