Offbeat, slow burn dark comedy that will keep you on your toes. There are far too many characters but the storyline doesn't divert from its path. Two seasons of fun on Amazon Prime.


There's little coming out these days that interests me and this was definitely an 8 out of 10 for me but granted...it's not for everyone.

It didn't really grab me either until maybe the 4th episode. It's very funny and naughty in places with some surprising situations that develop even deeper as it goes along. Even liked the way it ended.

This is the best written story and series I have ever experienced. Have watched it at least 5 times and I am not one to heap praise on any work but this will challenge the way you view and analyze what you watch on television moving forward. It is imho a masterpiece.

It's considered a dark comedy and it truly is funny but also very sad as you can feel the pain of the main character who acts on behalf of his father who works for the state department. I had to get used to the pacing but it works for this story as told in flashbacks. Comparable to the work of Wes Anderson. The cast is terrific.


Maybe this just hits all the right buttons for me but I can't stop watching it.
