Listening to some talk radio during drives this week and all they wanted to talk about was Notre Dame.

Did you see how EFFICIENT they were?
They moved the ball at will!
Mary Hartman was an absolute MACHINE! Perfect fit for that organization!!!
You can pencil this team in for a playoff spot already.

I've never seen any team get more undeserved hype than the golden domers do.

I'm still raw over not getting to play them in 1988. One more stop against Tommy Hodson and AU would have played those limp-dick nobodies in the Sugar Bowl for the title. I can't for the life of me understand why Dye went into a shell against LSU. Should have put up 20-30 on that team. So much would have been different. Would have gone into the bowls 10-0. Would have gotten ND while Miami, FSU and WV would have played for consolation prizes. The Irish would have been the easiest out of that group and I have no doubt Dye would have the crown that eluded him.

That film should be used by every corch in America as the prime example of why you don't go into a prevent defense. LSU had not crossed midfield, and Auburn decides since they had one more drive to stop them and win the game....hey, let's drop everybody back and let them go the length of the field in a few seconds. Yeah, great idea.

Yeahhhh, I kind of mentioned this last week with them and Texas. Every, Damn. Year.

Thanks for opening that old wound back up. I was there on the 2nd row behind the Auburn bench. Worst feeling ever coming out of a game...at least until Black Saturday anyway.

No way to tell much about ND after this past Saturday. Navy was bad last year, and probably worse this year. However, I will give Hartman his due. I have no clue where he'll take the Irish this season, but he's one of the best pure passers in the game.

I will say this though, while they play more than a few cupcakes, if they can navigate NC State, THE Ohio State University, USC, Pitt and Clemson, they probably do belong in the top 4.
