My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

I'll go with "Lazy Sports Journalist Takes" for $1,000, Alex.

Unfortunately we have many fans that support this idea.  These people need help.

Unfortunately we have many fans that support this idea.  These people need help.

Harpoon did more damage to this program in his short tenure than anyone AU history. His atrocious approach to and effort in recruiting may haunt us for five or ten years.

We can't hire a failed re-tread like Muschump.

We can't hire "potential without experience" like Deion

We can't hire a morally bankrupt, no-trick pony like Freeze just because he beat Alabama a few times and got Liberty (liberty, liberty) past a pretty shitty Arkansas team.  Hugh Freeze is the Wal Mart version of Gus.  It's a huge step backward.

We can't hire somebody from the west coast or who hasn't coached in the SEC because there's a difference.  Part of Harboob's problem is that his valuation of talent was faulty based on his experience.  A fantastic player at Boise is a third-stringer at AU.  Pretty sure he legitimately believed he had an amazing array of talent (Watch!) because he was unable to properly valuate it in comparison to the rest of the SEC.   This is really a different topic, but I watched a good bit of the Oregon game Saturday just to see.  Yeah, Bo is putting up numbers, but denying the level of competition is different is delusional.  It's not the same. It's mostly speed.  The SEC moves at a different pace. It's like p5 to D2... or watching a 6A high school game and then taking in a AA private school game.  Bo has a better OL, but the decisions he has to make don't come at him as quickly as they would in the SEC.  That extra second or two is huge.

So who can we hire?  Damned if I know.  Just can't be any of those.

He's not ready for that yet, if ever. We need a Vince Lombardi type of coach.

Dan Lanning returns to the SEC, Bo transfers with his coach and wins a Heisman and NC at Auburn.

Derek Dooley
Jeremy Pruitt &
Butch Jones to get to Josh Heupel.

Only takes 12 years and we're right back in the thick of it.
Let's see I'm 64 so carry the 3... I'll only be 76 Lord willing. Might not recognize a football by then but there's always a chance I could.

Or we could virtue signal and hire the "first" of something.

First trans, first gay, first native american (pacific islander, Islamic, etc.), first trans, first woman.  That's what's important, you sillies. Not qualifications.

I don't know that Kiffen or Sanders are the first of anything but Neal Brown looks to be three fifs Cherokee.

No way Bo can IMPROVE his NFL stock from where it is now, by going from the cupcake defense Pac 12 to Auburn. Think about it. Its as high as it will be, and he should probably jump on that.

Indians Native Americans are so out now though.  We won't even use their tribe names anymore.

What we need is a Trans coach.

But Hugh freeze beat arkansas, dammit!!

I know you laugh but....may wanna prep yourself for this possibility.

There are issues with Kiffin and the amount. Same with Lanning - he wants too much too soon. Were aren't getting in a huge buyout mess (AGAIN for the 19th time) for guys of their caliber like Aggie did. They are good coaches but not "70 or 80 million guaranteed" level coaches. I like Lane but 10 years at 10 mill each with 80% guaranteed? Hes lost his damn mind and I would advise him to reel in Sexton a bit here on that jazz.

Thats Saban/Peyton/Smart/Day/McVay/Stoops/Urban level money.
