none of this should be a shock to anyone.  the first game proved to all what we've known for a long time.

I feel bad for the kid, but he saw this team and staff up close and personal and bought in.  Hell, his was part of the base of my own optimism for this season.

I'm not too worried where Tank is concerned.  NFL scouts know if a guy can ball, regardless of his production, or lack thereof in college.  I can name quite a few guys that have/had nice careers in the league despite a dumbass, armchair QB like myself thinking there's no way that guy has a chance.  Start with Neiko Torched.  Brandon King?  Hell, he barely played at Auburn. 

Remember an offensive lineman who transferred in from cough cough....UMass in 2019?  Jack Driscoll, ladies and gentlemen.  He's still with the Philadelphia Eagles.  He started last year.  Don't know if he's still a starter this year.
