Yup
Mainstream and Social Media outlets are contorting themselves in all kinds of positions to cover this up. That alone tells me there must be at least some truth to it.
It certainly explains the virulent opposition to Donald Trump.
For way too many years there's been little difference between political parties. "The swamp" as Donald coined it, is real.
How does a Joe Biden spend 47 years "working" in the Senate and somehow amass a multi-million dollar fortune on his $174,000 a year salary?
How does a Richard Shelby spend his entire life in politics and manage to attain a net worth reported to be in the neighborhood of $20 million?
This isn't the way things were intended to be. Political service was supposed to be a part-time job. Something you did in addition to your actual profession. Short-term. Not all your life.
I have no doubt Biden could take a lie detector test and pass with flying colors if asked "did you do anything wrong" Two reasons. 1) He doesn't remember because he's struggling with dementia and 2) He doesn't see anything they did -- trading on his name, crafting policies that were personally profitable, setting up his kids like a mafia don -- as being wrong. That's how things have always been done. It's not wrong! C'mon, man!
Trump's got his own demons. But if I were strapped to a torture device and on penalty of agonizing pain if I was wrong had to answer "has he sold the country down the river for personal gain" I would adamantly say no. That alone, in this race, is enough for me.
