Read an article from a few days back quoting a lot from Bo Nix. The gist of the piece was how it's been trying to learn a new offense without a Spring Training. From all indications, it sounds like they're doing just that. Granted, Morris and Gus are cut from the same cloth so it might not look like much of a difference. However, I've maintained for years that if Gus ever did turn the reins over to an OC, there's no telling where we would be as a program right now. No telling what we'd think of him as a coach. But that's never been the case. No matter what he's said in the past, he's always had his hands all over the offense. And the warm fuzzies about that, left me years ago.
Now, while I believe handing the keys to CCM would be huge step in the right direction, I also have to temper that for this year as my expectations are a whole lot of MEH with an almost entirely new offensive line, chocked full of unknowns. Maybe the change to Bicknell will make a world of difference. We shall see.
