New rumor about Al Borges.

On the DandB show yesterday, they were reporting that Al Borges has been contacted by Sly Croom, and may very well be the OC for the Bulldogs next year. What ya think about that?

Makes me happy for Al, but worried about playing MSU in the future.

This may be a "Save my ass" attempt by Sly. I looked at that team last year and wondered how they ever beat Auburn, bammie or anybody. Smoke and mirrors, probably. I think this year has shown that maybe his program hasn't progressed like everyone thought and they may in fact just suck..as usual. Borges may be an improvement but until they get some real SEC talent in Stinkville, he won't be able to do much. I'd be taking a hard look at Croom if I were an MSU fan.

Do you also know that when I was in Destin (Sorry, I couldn't break away...family and friends and all) I went to Blue Point and ordered a 420 on draft. Nope..OUT. I asked the blonde (hot) waitress if she knew you and she said, "Hell, he's probably the reason we're out".

Unfortunately, it was one of those babysit the 8 year old while wife blitzkreigs the Commons. Finally drug the kid out of BASS and made my way to the Point for a Newcastle draft..or three and a shrimp po boy.

By the way, sometimes I get on one of those, "Find the best shrimp po boy...fried shrimp..grilled mahi-mahi.." expeditions when I go to the beach. I tried 3 different ones this trip and Bluepoint's blew them out of the water. I did Stinky's, Bluepoint and the Seagrove Market down at Seaside. (They've been off their game lately.)

True for the most part. This is a little hole in the wall convenience store. You walk through a little hallway and it opens into a grill. Usually some pretty good food and cold beer. Prices are okay. Last couple of times haven't been up to snuff.
