New here...
« on: October 15, 2008, 11:26:18 PM »
I have been quietly reading another board for years, I dont comment much there but I have noticed a trend lately. It seems that they have almost become appologists for Coach Tuberville. I have supported him for years and think he is a good man and a great coach. However, the way things have gone over the bast few years have me concerned. It seems as if we are hitting a plateau, and that is where I am concerned. It seems like Tubs is slowing down and I am just not sure he can get us over the next few humps. I am starting to think that maybe its time for a new direction, before we lose more momentum. I am not inclined to say "fire him now" but the comments I have read elsewhere make it seem that if you question Tuberville you question Auburn. Auburn is not one man, and neither is the football program. I feel like I can appreciate what he has done and view his career as a success while still thinking maybe both sides would benefit by moving on. With so many questions about the future, I think its important for people to realize that sometimes change in football is good. Just my opinion.

Well, I've been here on this forum for a long while and can definitively say that you are bad as a person for feeling the way that you do, it is not normal and you should feel different and like you don't belong.

Good day, sir.

All I can say to this is....jump on my bandwagon.  I agree with you, but I'm too drunk to type out a long, thought-out response to this.

Good day, sir.

Listen to this guy.  He's been here for almost 24 hours now.  He knows what he's talking about!

Am I a fag for enjoying bammer smack?  Or am I like Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb?

Damn, I really need to go to bed.

I guess because I am a young guy who became an Auburn fan the day I stepped on campus 8 years ago for my first visit I dont get the same rights to an opinion in other forums. Its uderstandable, I missed the era of frustration that the older guys missed. But, I have been watching my team play long enough to know that they have the talent to be much better than they are. It kills to watch a team lose simply because of coaching. If they lose because they dont have talent, fine. But dont let the coach take away the opporunity to win.  Unfortunately the coach has a much bigger role, and in this case... It is possible that we might need a new leader at the helm. In any case, I appreciate the opportunity to voice my opinion and not be... well... yelled at. haha

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I am a bit disgusted by tubs fucking up anopther talent loaded team, but am not ready to fire him. I do think that it is not in the best interest of AU to have a bunch of fire tubby threads on the boards. We have some solid offensive recruits lined up and the less turmoil the better. E-mail people at AU if you want tubs gone is mho.

I wouldn't be overly disappointed at al if tubs left at the end of the year as long as we get someone damn good to replace him.

Im not so much saying he should go ASAP, I am just saying it doesnt really make you less of an Auburn fan if you start to question how much longer things should stay the same.

PChamp.
That was my original thought on first blush, but I was wrong.

I do know who this is and it is not PChamp.  That being said, I don't know any name that this orangeandblue posts under, but I do know his true identity.
