Those stupid Bammers. They just ruin everything. The entire gulf coast is swarming with flesh-eating bacteria. And now we know why:
The Health Department said germs and bacteria can get into the water in different ways, like washing off of swimmers’ bodies or when people relieve themselves in the water.
If you've ever been to Gulf Shores, Pensacola, PCB or any of the other locations along the coast you've been treated to the sight of some sun-burnt asshole with a Bama buzz cut, a mullet-A beer coozie cradling the Natty in his hand standing waist deep in the ocean and flurbing his face in satisfaction as he unloads his innards through his rebel flag trunks. Mix that with the disease that regularly cascades off their unwashed bodies and you've got a bacterial soup that no human, fish or fowl should be in.
Just FYI, my kid was infected with the flesh-eating bacteria from working around Mobile Bay this summer. Thankfully, we caught it very early -- like the day after she was in the water and the first bump showed up -- and the doctors were able to flood her with antibiotics and knock it out quickly. So I can joke about it now.
