So the NL Central has the Baby Bears back on top by two games over the Cards. However, the last place Reds are only 5.5 back. Nobody has a very good record so to come out of that division, they'll have to win it straight up. No Wildcard for you.

The Dodgers.....yeeeesh. That's scary.

I thought the Yank Me's were going to run away and hide but dizzam, the Rays are only 5 back and playing well. I still think they'll take it by at least 10 games.

The Twins have been really good all year, but the Indians are slowly creeping back to the top. I believe they're 5 out as well.

So I still say the Cards in 6 over the Yank Me's. The way they're playing now, I might drop it to 5 games.

The trade deadline is hours away and I'm praying to Jobu that the Braves take advantage it and get another starter and pleeeeeease please pretty please.....someone who can half way close a game. They traded a minor league prospect to Texas yesterday for reliever, Chris Martin. Apparently, Cold Play is taking a break from touring. I know nothing about the guy other than he's 6'8" and throws strikes. He actually throws strikes, which is something the Bravos bullpen is dead last in.

Anyway, as long as we've got A.J. Minter setting up and Luke I'm Everybody's Bitch Jackson "closing" games, we will get overtaken, and much sooner than later.

So right on cue, the Braves are close to acquiring closer, Shane Greene from the Detroit Tigers. Again, never even heard of him but the piece I read says he made the All Star team this year and has a 1.18 ERA in 38 innings.

BTW, the Braves were up 11-1 in the 8th last night and wound up winning 11-8. This afternoon, they were up 4-1 going to the 8th and had to go 10 to win 5-4.

So bullpen help.....um, yeah!

Welp, I've been delegated to rooting for and watching the Bravo's now day's since my 10 year old is a huge fan and the Orioles no longer have a team.

LOL. I'm not rooting for the Bravo's, just watching them. Me rooting for the Bravo's....

For real, took the boys and my nephew to a Brave's game. Sun Trust is a really nice stadium and the parking was a hell of a lot better than Fulton Co or Turner. I enjoyed it. Played the Nats. It was nice to see Donaldson drive in the game winner. I seriously like Acuna, Markakis & Swanson. Donaldson is a no brainer. Gonna root for that guy no mater who he plays for.
