And anyone thinks Bryant will fail in Mizzou - look what they did with chase Daniel, maty mauk and drew lock. Better than our track record the last 2 decades other than cam and nick. Lock will be a high draft pick next year. Don’t think Bryant didn’t see that.

They changed coaching staffs between Daniel/Mauck and Lock, though.  New coach is a former DC, and Dooley has been OC/QB there for a year or so.

My wife's cousin is being recruited by Mizzou, and really likes Dooley.

No I agree. Point being - they seem to have overall and esp at the qb position - more stability and development than we do. It’s sad really.

Because replacing a football coach and paying his multi-million $ buyout is one thing. But ousting the President of the University and undoing the SIGNIFICANT changes he's made to the university in his short time there is a whole other problem. They have to wait this out until they can settle the dust on Leath and either get him in line or get him to leave. Then, they can deal with Gustav the Overpaid.

Okay has it been expressed openly by any power brokers connected with the Auburn program that Leath is a liability or part of the problem?

Have I missed something?

His job is in jeopardy and not just because of his monumental coaching contract fuck-up.  None of the Deans of the colleges care for him either.  He is no liked by either side very much.

I want to pack his parachute next time he takes to the air but there is no guarantee he has to bail just because he has ruffled some feathers. Seems like one of those uniquely Auburn situations that will just linger on until he does his NEXT BIG THING.

You're right.  He ain't going anywhere until he screws something else up.  But I think he's being watched by the PTB
