AU only beat UF by 14.  Booo.  Seriously, first win in 10 years vs. The gaytors.  16-6.
76-62 for those who are interested but can’t seem to get the score from the cryptic posts.

We were never out of the tourney. USC is the only "bad" loss. Take car of business down the stretch and Auburn will be a 4 or 5 seed.

Hate hate hate to see us lose Harper and Okeke to injuries, even temporarily.

That said, we got great play out of #10 and #12.  Doughty was putting on a clinic on both ends of the floor.

Once Wiley got that first turnover out of the way, he showed what we've been lacking under the hoop.

McLemore and Spencer dropping 3's in the second half was just icing on the cake.

Good depth-building game.

Wiley is a yuuuuuuuuuge difference maker for this team especially with rebounds and defense.  We beat UK with him on the floor in the first game, I'm certain of that.

Maybe. But we were trending that way. And it’s hard to get into it not being .500 in conf. We got back on track which is what was needed. Missouri last week was absolutely a must win.

Tough game tomorrow at 1pm in Red Stick.  The Faux Tigahs are on quite a tear (8-1 in conf.)

Hopefully the injuries we saw Harper and Okeke take were superficial and won't be a factor going forward.

I think Wiley. Mac and Spencer can control that toothpick down low, which should neutralize them pretty well.  The key to this game will be how well Harper and Brown can hit the 3s.

Agreed...Wiley's return is crucial for this team.

Don't discount the scoring of Chuma, Dunbar and Doughty, though!

That's why I had such high hopes for this season.  I thought Chuma was on track to be a superstar and had heard great things about Doughty.
Still, there's a great chance to make a lot of noise if the shooters can stay hot and Wiley stays healthy.

Imo that injury to McLemore harmed us more than the Heron transfer. The kid was killing it for us when he went down and hasn't been able to play to his previous level.

Disagree.  I think he's got his groove back like Stella taking an island dick.  Took a few games to get there, but he's shaken it off.

Werd.  He seems to be all the way back.  Speaking of Heron, he's averaging 15 and 5 for the Red Storm (17-6)  He'd probably be doing a little better but they've got a guard, Shamorie Ponds, that's really good at 21 a game.  I'll walk back my remarks about Heron being "the man" this year had he stayed on the Planes, but I'd still love to have his 6'5" body on the wing.  Plus, it'd be nice to have his right at 77% from the line.

Looking like they are hitting their groove and learning to trust each other. This 3 game home stand Chuma and Samir played smart aggressive ball. Defense was great without all the fouls. Now to keep it up on the road. This game should tell us what we have the rest of the way.

McLemore has the same output as last season. I'm saying he might have improved statistically had it not been for having to recover from his injury.

Or not.
He might be as good as he gets right now.
