The Tipping Point
« on: October 19, 2018, 07:31:28 AM »
I don't live in Florida but I live close enough that I get a lot of news from that area.  Politics interests me so I'm watching the governor's race there.  What I see is a terrifying revelation about the state and future of this country.

The choice is between Republican Ron DeSantis and Democrat Andrew Gillum.  The race is close but there's no rational reason it should be.

Gillum is the former mayor of Tallahassee. He's under FBI investigation for his involvement in bribery scams.  He's an extremely far left socialist -- further left than even Bernie.

Among his ideas is instituting an income tax in the state for the first time and raising business taxes by as much as 40%.

He's one of the loons calling for the abolishment of ICE, open borders, the elimination of the police force and the establishment of sanctuary cities in Florida.

There's no way this guy would even win a race for dogcatcher a decade ago.  But you've got Soros pouring millions into his campaign and Gillum himself publicly acknowledging fealty to that destroyer of worlds.

And then it dawned on me.  We are almost to the tipping point.  In Florida and California and New York, the number of people voting who don't pay taxes, don't own land, don't have any skin in the game has or will soon surpass the number of voters who do.  That's how this country is going to fall. That's what that evil toad Soros is banking on.

If you're not paying taxes, what difference does a huge increase on personal or business tax make to you?  Oh, you'll get MORE money from the government (you think).  The idea that those people who make the money will go somewhere else to avoid the onerous burden never crosses their minds.  When the number of dependent voters surpasses the number of independent voters, the end is here.

I'm hoping the voters of Florida have enough sense to reject this complete fool Gillum and give us some more time to hopefully course correct.

Too bad we can't get George Soros to turn on Gus. Buyout would be paid yesterday.

You are reading polls, the same polls that declared Hillary by a landslide.  Gilliam is a piece of shit DeSantis will win.

I don’t think we’ll fall. I think there will be another civil war but not in our lifetimes. Eventually migration will take place within the states between the dependents and independents.  When the socialism side fails, there will be another war between the states.

There might even be a buffer zone or division among states...such as the panhandle. But as it is among gun laws there is no way local authorities go door to door for guns, especially when your own Uncle Bob has a nice collection and will likely need them.
Same goes for the military. If they aren't getting paid they aren't going to risk life and limb collecting firearms.

Maybe we don't fall, but when the takers outnumber the givers to the point that the givers lose power?  That's not a sustainable model.

Everything has gone too far in the last few decades.

I agree 100%.  I honestly believe a Trump presidency was one final push by this nation to combat socialism and failing government handout programs.  The Supreme Court has been a huge win. I guess we’ll see by these midterms exactly in which direction we are heading.
