Shirt burning

Reports everywhere that Gus/staff failed to properly calculate the redshirt requirements for Asa Martin and have essentially wasted a year of eligibility when they planned to redshirt him.

If true?

Their claim is they still want to use him on special teams to give him experience and that's why they didn't redshirt him. They also want the option of using him should we sustain RB depth injuries late in the season. So having him running on ST will keep him in game shape, they believe.

Wasn't that Chizik's line? I wonder how much film Gus actually watches. I'm sure some of the staff do, maybe Lindsey does, but Gus strikes me more as a "here's the system, here's the plan, go do it" kind of coach.

We put the film in the projector correctly but sometimes the execution is not there.
