Hurricane check in
« on: October 11, 2018, 08:08:46 AM »
No problems here in West Georgia.  Couple of limbs down.

Panama City airport seems to have problems.  I think the "personal flotation device" portion of the safety brief is going to be more important.

Buster's Beer and Tackle on the other hand was giving less than two shits on Tuesday evening.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

One of the fake tombstones in my Halloween yard display fell over.

Does anyone have the link to FEMA assistance?

Lost a tree, but otherwise we're good.

Never even lost power.

Hate if for the folks in PCB and points east.  Indian Pass and Mexico Beach took it right on the fucking chin.

Buster's is always banging.

We won't know the extent of damage till we get back down there. From what we have been told, our place is still there. We may have some carport damage and some shingles missing, but no major damage, Whew.

Still not sure of my sister's place. She is only two blocks off of the beach behind the Watercrest.

The crew will probably head down Friday or Saturday.

For others, not so good news.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Well to be fair they do fly to Mississippi out of there so grammatically speaking "international" is correct.

Alls well on Gulf  Breeze/Pensacola Beach. Since my transfer to the Keys was screwed up I'm heading to the Publix on Thomas Dr. in PC Saturday. It's still standing. Give a report when can.

Well here in Gadsden, I had some left over toilet paper stuck in my trees from a piss poor rolling job my kid's friends did.  So the little wind was welcome to blow it.  Sent the kids out this morning to pick it up before school #dadpower

We will stand strong in T'ville.  Our slow pitch softball game was rained out last night, but with a lot of hard work and a little luck it will be rescheduled.
