24 year old who spent six years in minor league baseball with the Phillies org.

Has 4 years of eligibility still.

I assume he has all 4 years of eligibility. Hey, I'm good with it. I like having as many options behind Stidham as possible. Doubt at his age he will redshirt. And Weinke worked out okay for the Noles.

Obviously, you can never be too deep at any position, especially QB. This puts us at 4 scholarship QB's with Bo Nix coming in next year. I would assume if Stidham has a good year that he'll bolt for the NFL, so who might be the odd man out? I keep hearing that they might move Gatewood to TE, but then... we don't use TE's. And we're signing 2 more TE's in this class so that we can waste two more scholarships.

My hope is that Nix is the real deal and has the ability to step in right away. Very rare for a true freshman at this level, but I'm not really too excited by what we have behind Stidham right now.

Last I heard Gatewood was going to be the next Cameron Newton. Maybe they meant the Cameron Newton who's assistant manager at the ihob.
