2010 was a strange year defensively.  Everybody on that front 7 was a senior with the exception of Nick Fairley, who was the most disruptive player in the game that year.  But, they still gave up 30+ four or five times.  They somehow just knew how to turn it on when it counted. I still remember several games, like Clemson, USCe & Bama where the coaches were quoted as saying they really didn't have to do much of anything in those games.  The players just stayed calm and talked to each other about what they had to do.  Then, went out and executed.

 

Ted Roof was great with the jazz hands and with halftime adjustments.

He was. But he may have been the best instinctive LB to come through AU. What he lacked in speed, he made up for in always knowing where the ball was.
He made plays where you just KNEW he was never gonna get there in time, but he did.

He has carved out a pretty good pro career also.  Got a Super bowl ring.

What is the biggest change that I have seen since Steele came in (actually Muschamp to some degree) Linebackers.  We actually have been decent on the defensive line side of the ball since Tubs left.  

What we haven't had was two good guys in the middle.  2012...2013 a guy named Will Holland, Auburn Man love him but bahahhahahha.

That has since changed.
