Well shit. Have an offer to transfer to Key Largo with current company. I'm 56(in June) no wife, kids or house payments and they have fired all the snowflakes they socially promoted.
I've kind of worn out my welcome here. Been in Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach last 28 years.
I'm old school nose to grind stone. Pay is doubled of course. So is cost of living. Have to sign on for one year as not to pay back moving expenses. Also means they won't fire me no matter how bad an asshole I am.
So, why am I even waffling? Help a brother out.

Its for a year. Sounds like you have nothing to hold you back. Give it a shot. This is something you usually only get a chance to do when you are young and dumb.

Plus it will give me a place to stay. Make sure you get a crib on the water with a guest house for my family.

The keys are awesome, totally laid back lifestyle. Sounds perfect to me.

GF can can truly experience an alternative lifestyle on his visit, like many of his friends on the x already experience.

All you need is a bungalow so you can let some of these guys visit and share your bung-holio!

Do you like to be out on the water fishing every day? If not (IMO), then the upper keys will be a big let-down. I love the lower keys from Bahia Honda down. Not a big fan of the upper keys, but then I am not big on fishing. Good luck if you are looking to buy property, trailers that you think should be hauled to the dump in the panhandle cost $400k in the keys.

Never been an "on the water" fisherman. I've been deep fishing maybe 3 times since I've been here. Born in Montgomery raised by grands in Sylagauga. He taught me fly fishing. It's 95% what I know. Nothing major but I've been there done that in all the SEC states. Bone fished( fly)once in Key West over 25 years ago. Only time I've been. AMAZING! Thinking this just might help my mental issues. Or I could stop paying the 35 bucks a month to be a member here or become an rcansass fan.

Mental issue not improve unless leave x I believe.
Then, still nightmare about chopping Wes and Chizad up into bbq.

See I'm the opposite of this and we don't go fishing every day. Islamorada is my happy place.
