I've tried watching ESPN's expensive new morning show, Get Up.  It's garbage.  

Greenberg looks hung over and definitely needs Golic to balance his act.  Michele Beadle is one of the biggest wastes of female flesh on the planet and she doesn't improve her stock at all here.  She's a vapid airhead, dumber than a basket of weasel livers and not NEARLY as attractive as she clearly considers herself to be.  The token is a guffawing pile of oversized teeth and facial hair who does little but make annoying noises.   And don't forget the enormous, barely understandable black man wearing the half-washed U-Neck tshirt from the Downy commercial.  Not sure what what his purpose is. 

It's a bad mix and I'm looking for something, anything, else to watch.

I watched a few mornings last week and about 30 minutes of this morning's show.  Kind of meh so far, but I'm going to give it a little time for them to settle in.  They had Booger on last week.  Don't know who the big tub of goo is they have on today.  Never understood why they broke up Mike & Mike and now they've moved Golic & Wingo to a channel I apparently don't get.

Tried this show for about half an hour again today.  

It's painful to watch.  

ESPN no longer has any idea what it is or what it should be.  

The toothy black guy (I think he played basketball) is in his pajamas.  Green apparently thinks not shaving makes him cool.  You can hear the wind whistling through the vacant lot that is Beadle's cranial cavity. She's dumb and about 1/10th as attractive as she considers herself to be.  

It's just a bad show and an awful fit.  I wondered if I was just out of touch, but according to what little I've read I'm not alone in my disinterest in this show and its format.  According to what I heard the ratings are down 24% over regular SportsCenter a year ago.  

ESPN wrecked so much to get this titanic in the water I doubt they give up on it any time soon, but it's a dumb move on their part.  Get up?  No.  Get out.

Agreed. Been giving it a fair shake to see if it would grow on me.  Unfortunately, it's grown like toenail fungus.  Greenie has always been a little irritating to me, but it worked with Golic because Golic always put him in his place.  Greenie would say stupid shit and Golic would spend the morning ripping him for it. Somehow, it worked and was entertaining.  Now, he's just a dweeb saying stupid shit. 

The 10 minutes I watched this morning was painful.  Greenturd was trying to explain why he thinks Joel Embiid is the best player in the NBA.  Joel Embiid?  I'm not even sure if I'm spelling his name right.

Sit Down! remains completely unwatchable.  If anything, it's worse than it was. Greenberg is unmoored without the bluster of Golic to balance his schmucky blandness. Michelle Beadle is an annoying twit. The basketball guy adds nothing.  He's like an overgrown Urkel.  

Meanwhile I've found refuge in SportsCenter morning Nicole Briscoe.  She's not bad to look at, doesn't try to overdo it.  Her delivery is tolerable.  Even if she doesn't know what she's talking about she comes across as if she does. Too bad they've paired her with Randy Scott.  He's awful.



Other ESPN thoughts?

The promo they keep running for the NBA finals where they show the "fan reaction" videos is annoying and seems staged.  If you're filming yourself watching a game you have serious mental issues.  Any "reaction" you have to the result is manufactured, not sincere.
