I'm sorry, but that's some horseshit. Even within the state Mob-Town is more dangerous than B'ham.

Now I may be an idiot, but there is one thing I am not, sir, and that, sir, is an idiot.

Seems like it's a good day to be an Atlantian.  Not only are we "safer" then Birmingham, but we were also placed third in a poll that named "the best party cities" in the USA.  1st place went to Miami, 2nd place to L.A., and 4th place to New York City, according to a radio show I listened to on the way to work this morning.

I hope all you folks from Birmingham are packing heat.  I'd hate to lose some of the good posts that you provide for us here on a daily basis.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Saniflush makes a great point.  It's more like a field party now instead of a lake party.  We get to Lanier about 3 times a year...once for major holidays (4th of July, Labor Day, etc.) and then a couple of random times during the summer.  But for now we just like to go there to search for the secret city that buried under the water.  I hear you can see the top of a church steeple right now because the water is so low.

"People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded."
