ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — An equipment manager for Georgia's football team is accused of using a hidden camera to capture images of at least one person showering in the Bulldogs' locker room.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports 37-year-old Kevin Purvis was arrested Friday night on four felony charges and a misdemeanor.
Three of the felonies were for illegal eavesdropping or surveillance and the other was for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. The misdemeanor was for marijuana possession.
UGA spokesman Claude Felton said the athletic association was aware of Purvis' arrest and that he was terminated early in the investigation.
Purvis' arrest came nearly a month after someone found the camera.
Purvis surrendered to Athens-Clarke County authorities Friday. Jail records Saturday show he posted bail. They do not show if he has a lawyer.
