I said this numerous times in the discussions leading up to this season.  If Gus keeps his word, hence the theme of this thread, and turns it over to Lindsey, we could be really good.  If he can't stay out of it, we're 8-5 again at best, and starting over.  So far, as everyone with half a brain can see, Gus has done anything but keep his ass out of the offense and it was quite sluggish against a really bad GSU team and a complete train wreck this past Saturday.  And suddenly, a major move is made in sending Chip to the booth. 

Becoming vintage Gus Malzahn.

Steele is a DC. We need to preserve that. It's the offense that's in a ravine. Herb Hand failed us in the
second half with no adjustments.
I don't guess he knows about providing help or even doubling.
And had Stidham thrown balls away as he should have that puts the focus on Kodi Burns. This is the worst waste of talented receivers in the history of the game.

I did hear somewhere that our extra long vertical routes were outdated which seems ridiculous considering it's still pitch and catch. In our case however it's give ground and go down.
It appeared to me that Stidham actually initiated the contact with a defender at least three times before squatting down.

I'm for letting Garner be the interim if it comes to that and hope Jesus will tell Jay it's time to make a change.
But I'm not holding my breath.
