Luther Strange is a moron. 

Everything he did in this election was wrong. 

1) He gained the Senate seat by trading his integrity.  Almost everyone believed that he agreed to drop an investigation into Bentley in exchange for the appointment.

2) His campaign was based on two things:  a) attacking Roy Moore and b) blowing Trump.

3) His ads were fraught with lies and pretty much everybody could see it.  Nobody believed his "Roy doesn't want the wall" ads.  Nobody believed his "I cleaned up the corruption" ads.   Nobody bought his "Roy stole this money" ads.  All negative, all smarmy old-school politics.  That's not going to work any more.

4) He spent an obscene amount of money but never once told the citizens of Alabama what he planned to do except blow Trump.  Contrary to popular belief, that's not what we wanted.  He treated the state's populace as if we were dumb sheep, braying Truu-uu-uu-uu-uu-mmmmp. 

5) He chickenshitted out of questions about his appointment. If he'd ever once stood there and faced it head on, he might have had a chance.  He never did.

I think Roy is crazy.  But he's not a crook.

Roy is insane.  Nobody brandishes a pistol at a political rally the night before the election.  That's some Stephen King Dead Zone craziness. He's got a God complex.  But the last word I've ever heard anybody who's dealt with him use is "corrupt." 

If Luther had just done his job and run when the position was open?  He might have had a chance. But his greed is bigger than he is.   At some point it's going to come out that he, Bentley and Riley were taking butt funnels of money from Mississippi gaming interests.  Those bribes motivated their constant war on the casinos in Montgomery, Atmore and Wetumpka. He's as corrupt as they come.  He would do, say, give or take anything to be elected.

Please to be showing us the corruption. I agree he's a religious holier than thou nutcase to an extent. But to accuse him of corruption you better be able to back that up. That's the one thing he isn't.

Sounds like you are more worried about what some hippie in California or yuppie in new yawwk thinks about you/your state. I would go on and on about the differences again in a legislative versus executive role but it's a waste. Have fun worrying yourself into a stroke over this.

If I based my vote on someone's religion or lack of I wouldn't vote for 90+% of the ones I do vote for. For the most part he's on the same side of the issues I am - meaning taxes, jobs, immigration, Aca, etc. If he starts in on the religious stuff it will go nowhere in the senate.

He will vote in lockstep with the GOP - period. Strange was a flight risk much like Collins and McCain. Moreso than Moore. And he's a big govt fiscal liberal. It's that simple to me....but but ommmmagerd religion and god.....he likes him some of that god stuff what a maroon.
