Practice/Scrimmage and Not So Expert Analysis
« on: August 12, 2017, 05:11:33 PM »
Hit The Planes today for practice in JHS.  A 2 hour practice, the first of which was spent running drills and doing situational scrimmaging.  Malzahn was mic'd up and would tell them to put the ball on their own 40, 1 minute on the clock and 1 time out.  You're down 3....Go.  A lot of those type dealios.  The second hour was all straight up scrimmaging.

The scrimmage started out with the offense backed up to it's own 1 yard line.  First play, Stidham dropped one over the top for a 99 yard strike.  Honestly forgot who caught it.  I think it was Slayton but don't quote me.  Second series starts at the one too with Malik Willis under center.  First play was a run for 1 yard.  Second play was the same one Stidham ran.  Strike....98....6.  Third series starts at the 25 with the White boy taking snaps.  A few plays in, he finds Nate Craig Meyers all alone about 20 yards down field.  Strike...60...6.  I believe Willis hit Noah Ingbinginhinbigne...bneg for a TD later as well.  Tidbits:

As for the QB situation.  Stidham was clearly doing everything with the ones all day.  He played a few series in the real scrimmage with the ones and then took the rest of the day off.  No question he has by far the best arm and makes all the throws.  He did some stupid shit and looked human compared to the Spring but still looked solid overall.  White was also solid.  Didn't do anything to wow, but didn't do anything to hurt himself either.  I think he threw one INT, but the dot  I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. will make sure and let us know it was Stidham.  Malik Willis took way more snaps than everyone else and looked pretty damn skippy.

Receivers:  Most underrated group in the SEC.  These guys are damn good and deep.  Kyle Davis didn't put the pads on.  He didn't look injured.  Probably taking care of personal matters.

Bubba and Carry On took part in everything but the real scrimmage.  Obvious that they know there's not much behind those 2.  Them staying healthy is going to be a huge key to this season.  True freshman Devan Barrett got a lot of carries.  Not real big at about 190 but he knows how to find a hole.  Kind of like me in college.

The crop of freshman LB's are big, fast and quite studly.  We should be solid there for a while.

Rodney Garner says "Fuck" a lot.  Sometimes, he uses it in complete sentences.  As in, "Getcho sorry, fuckin' ass off the field."  And he's very loud.

Carlson was his usual, solid self.  Ian Shannon looked by far the best punting the ball.  Ryan Davis received all the punts so I assume he's won the job.  The long snapping was exquisite!

Injuries:  If I had to guess, I'd say don't look for Marlon Davis in the GS game.  In a knee brace and walking very gingerly.  Didn't see Andrew Williams on the field either.  Calvin Ashley in shorts.  DB Daniel Thomas has his left arm in a sling.  As mentioned, Kyle Davis did not practice but he looked fine. Maybe just a hammy strain or something.  Can't recall others right now.

Okay, out of all the things I saw today, the most noticeable was the attitude of this team.  I'd noticed on the videos on the dot  I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. and other places that they always seem to be woopin' (Is that a word?) it up and having fun.  But they also seem laser focused and ready to take care of bidnezz.  On the 99 yard Stidham TD, apparently it was Broussard that got Neiko'd.  JB ran off the field, went to the end of the bench away from everybody and put his head down.  The defense was lining up for the extra point and suddenly, every one of them left the field, came running over to Broussard and gave him holy hell.  Told him to put his damn helmet back on and get his shit together.

A couple of minutes later, he was still moping as he walked behind the defensive sidelines and Jeff Holland stepped out and lit his ass up with another cussing. It was right in front of us.  Later in the scrimmage, Big Cat Bryant was on the ground after a play.  Looked injured but he slowly got up and jogged off the field.  He was met by Stephen Roberts who started screaming at him.  "You ain't hurt bad enough to come out the damn game.  Get your ass back on the field and don't you come back out."

I think we have a focused team with some real leaders.  We may suck right off the bat, but I like where this team is at now.  Did I mention the long snapper?

Yes, he did a good job on the report. Thankfully, his BIL can still get him in.

Would have been really cool if Rodney would've beat snag's ass.

I wonder if freshmen that Garner recruited get to their first practice and think that's not the same guy that was in my living room talking to me and my parents.

I wanna hear about the Black Belt Tight End we have, Sal Cannella. At 6'5' and 228, he could be a great weapon. That is if we have a game plan including the tight end this year. Strangely, this has been missing since 2010. (Al Dot I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. has a front page article on him today)

He made a couple of nice plays in the scrimmage, I like him being back there as athletic as he is.  I've heard all the analysts talk about the lack of depth with our DB's.  I don't see that being a problem and I think our starters can match up with just about anybody.  But we've had a rash of injuries with our DB's for a few years running now.  Good to have as many athletes back there as we can get just in case.

Every year it's the same old tired routine. Loser gets to go to one measly practice for a small segment because of family connections. If the truth be known, his family would prefer he not go. But he comes back and posts a few senseless opinions on here and gets treated like Bobby Lowder of old.

Dude may or may not have some shower pics, I don't know. But I know he doesn't deserve to be asked his opinion re Auburn football. Dude gets a years worth of street credibility off of a made for public section of practice. Every year.

And these losers think he's more inside than Bryan Matthews. Pathetic.
