The scuttlebutt on Twitter seemed to be there was less coachspeak than usual from Gus, but yeah, I'm not really seeing it.

Maybe it was more to do with his inflection/enthusiasm? Hoping he's more confident for good reason?

My buddy, who did his show from the Wind Free the last couple of days, said the same thing. He seemed more loose and a little more open. He's still the king of coach speak, though.

He says he's not going to let the QB battle go as late as it did last year, and I hope that's the case. But he said the same thing before last year. "We want to name our starter much earlier this year". I don't think we knew until kick off of the Clemson game. I will say I feel mucho bettero having both Stidham and White on the roster. Contrary to a lot people's opinion, if I knew Sean White would be 100% for the entire season, I'd be perfectly comfortable with the QB position.

I wanted to feel this way two season ago, but JJ6 crushed that dream. Hopefully Stidham can make that memory go away!

He ad nausea talks about this "buddy" but I think your answer is truthfully, no. At least not this particular one.

I have stated before on here, the White boy is too short. Look at how many balls he had batted down. I don't know how many but pretty sure we should take the over on the average.

But he's still good. Not good enough to win the sec but pretty good. We are solid d 2 deep at QB. Pretty good 3 deep I believe. Better than we've been sense I don't ny know when. Maybe the best ever at QB which is amazing, considering last year.

I have already said I think Sean starts the season.

I refuse to get caught up in Stidham mania until he has played a few games. Call it my Jeremy Johnson fool me once phobia.

That being said, I just wants us to win games don't really care if it's Sean or Stidham.

I agree. I don't think this will be a JJ repeat though...a lot of fake news from the staff and media that season. ~~Romo~~ Johnson wasn't that great to begin with...I think we all knew that deep down despite his brilliant game against Arkansas.

Srsly tho......Not just JJ but Kodi, Kiehl as well. I think Stidham is a very good QB with the total package but I want to see him actually play an SEC game first. LSU and BAMA's DL aint exactly Kansas and Texas Tech.

No. No he doesn't.

Are you excited to think Sean White could be the starter? I'm not. I'm on the Stidham bus. I'll fucking burn in it if I have too. I didn't buy the first ticket on it but sure hell ain't going to be the last on either. We haven't beat Alabama or Georgia in 3 years. We haven't beat LSU in Baton Rouge since 2008.

I hate that sports cliche...btw.
