I had heard more than one person talking about how she had to be trolling.  You see that reaction and think no way someone goes off the rails over something like that.  But then, plenty of folks road rage over the smallest incident and try to off a B.

When we first got married and moved down here to the Circle City, Red was on just about every commercial that came on. I seriously thought I was in the Twilight Zone.  Who is this old redneck and why is he so popular?  He had a following, though.

It took a while for me to acclimate to life in the thriving metropolis that is the Wiregrass.  Dothan is a nice little city but within a 25 mile radius are about 25 farming towns and communities. Salt of the earth people and Bama fans.  The main restaurants here were Hunt's Oyster Bar, several BBQ joints and a dozen all-you-can-eat buffets.  With everything, and I mean everything, deep fried.  If you had a big bottle of ketchup and a boat load of fries, people would eat a plate of dog turds if they were deep fried and on a buffet.

Red Holland fit right in.  Overalls.  Catching shellcracker and crappie.  Talking about high and low tides and the best baits to use.
