Here's what I don't understand:
Auburn is a pretty great place to be a coach, I think. Traditional power in a top conference with the chance to prove yourself against the best in the business every week AND a realistic shot at an NC more often than not lately.
Why is Gus trying to learn how to be something that he is not? Why try to force the CEO square peg into the HC/OC round hole? Be that guy, Gus, it's who you are. Hire someone whose sole job is to groom QBs...and who does it well, hopefully. Then get out there and run your fucking offense.
Why tinker with what got you here to meet the optics of what a DI NCAA HC "should" be? You're at a destination job, so settle in and perfect your madness.
